Amazing from start to finish - Kruger did not disappoint - I cannot even begin to describe how truly amazing this experience was. We were collected from our hotel by Normal who drove us out just past Hazyview to the Sabie River Bush Lodge for our 2 night stay. The drive was long (approx 5-6 hrs) but it gave us a chance to pass through some beautiful landscape and also stop at Azul (a service station next to a watering hole). We arrive at the lodge and our accommodation was just what we had hoped for with a location to match, right next to the Kruger park with the river flowing literally steps from our lodge. We started our stay with an evening safari that started at the Kruger Gate and our animal sightings that evening were unbelievable (including an amorous hippo, a chilled out wardhog and a hyena enjoying an evening snack). On return to the lodge, the dinner was basic but sufficient. The following morning we were collected from the lodge by our driver/guide Happiness and once again ventured into Kruger for the start of our all day game drive. The day was long but so worth it and the animal sightings cannot be described fully. Sightings included leopards, lions, baby hyena playing on the side of the road, zebra, elephant, giraffe and many many more. We even encountered cheeky monkeys who stole the remainder of our breakfast at the rest stop. That evening we elected to have dinner at the Kruger Hotel - the buffet food was amazing but it was nice to retreat back to our lodge after dinner and escape the bustle of the larger venue. Our final morning started with another sunrise game drive and a further leopard close up sighting (literally walking right towards our vehicle). After the game drive we started on our return journey back to Johannesburg with Norman stopping at Lisbon falls and then Dulstroom for lunch on the way (a drive not made easy by the intense potholes as you travel over the mountain range). Whilst the panorama route was not great for us ( low cloud closed out Gods Window and the Canyon), the animal viewings for us made the whole trip so worthwhile. This was a dream for many years and this trip exceeded all of our hopes.

Jaw dropping safari tour! - Such a memorable trip of a lifetime! Most of the tours have standard shuttle service which we couldn’t make it because of our flight schedule. Glad that we’ve found Nhalalala Travel who offers great flexibility and customises based on our time schedule! We knew we picked the right one from the friendly and polite greet. We were blessed with the perfect weather, the greatest animals and people we met during the tour. We cannot wait to come back and travel with them again!

3-day Kruger National Park w/ KHONGI was EXCEPTIONAL! - My dad and I just completed a 3-day tour at Kruger National park with our transportation and guide…KHONGI! He was so knowledgeable and professional and timely during our tour. He took us to several stops along the way that were so unique and memorable. He was also so kind and caring about making sure we were having a wonderful time. My dad and I both felt like we made a dear friend. When we come back we will definitely enjoy another safari tour with GHONGI. The sights we saw on the panorama were absolutely stunning. The safari sunset in the evening was so unique. We will be back!

Exceptional experience start to finish! - The safari was exceptionally well run from start to finish. Everything was smooth, organised, and delivered with real care. The experience itself was truly sensational—one of those once‑in‑a‑lifetime moments we’ll never forget. The hotel was also STUNNING and a true highlight. Norman made the whole trip so easy to organise and suit our plans. Our driver also made the trip so special. Being able to enjoy a 7 hour drive and learn so much along the way says a lot to the professionalism and friendliness there. If I’m ever back, no other company will get a look in!

10/10 overall experience!! - We booked Nhlalala Travel’s 4-day Kruger package several months in advance and from the very first email they were outstanding. Norman was quick to respond, super flexible, and happily customized our itinerary exactly the way we wanted. We even added extra passengers to the group shortly before departure and they made it completely seamless. On the day of travel, our guide Norman picked us up from Johannesburg and handled the 6-hour drive to Kruger Gate Hotel (and back) comfortably and professionally. The Kruger Gate Hotel itself was fantastic; beautiful location right at the gate, lovely rooms, friendly staff, and great food. Norman absolutely made the trip.
