A dream with dolphins - We spent a wonderful morning with the dolphins. We were able to observe them, swim with them and almost touch them (for the lucky ones). We were also fortunate to be able to swim with the fish at shallow depths (they call it the "aquarium"). The staff is very kind and we were very well supervised. They provide diving equipment if necessary. Thank you very much for this adventure.

MAGNIFICENT HOTEL IN MAHEBOURG - exceptional hotel location, feet in the water, private beach, (pedal boats, windsurfing, canoes, glass bottom boat free activities) very spacious and well equipped room, very very welcoming and helpful staff: all are taking great care (from general eating to cleaning staff, catering, bar, entertainment) with customers and a kindness that cannot be found anywhere else. The island is splendid and full of beautiful excursions and discoveries. We have just returned, a little sad to leave this beautiful site, but we promised to return very soon. A big thank you to RAVI, VEEJESS for this wonderful welcome that we cannot forget and to their teams; thank you also to LINDA, to the chef Vikash who is always very attentive, to PATRICE, RAJEN (bar), PRAKASH (very clean room) as well as to the reception staff without forgetting the entire KAPPA team (Anaëlle, Noémie, Marcello, Dudley) everyone contributed to making our stay unforgettable!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL Martine and Richard room 1153

great experience in Mauritius - small, friendly, family-run hotel. the staff is very welcoming and available. simple and good food. The only downside is that you need to bring shoes for swimming, lots of stones. otherwise, there is a lagoon 5 km away, very accessible. thanks to deborah, christophe and marcello for the animation coralia. They greatly contributed to making our stay very pleasant. Cécile and Luc

Nice dolphin swimming but the crew could do a better job - We booked a private tour 2,5 hours ( 2 adults and two kids) starting at 7:30 a.m.with the boat Mjolnir with Ygor as the snorcheling guide and Winley as the skipper. We booked the tour with hotel pick up and return by taxi with Viator. The taxi driver was given the wrong starting point at Tamarin Bay ( he showed us the whats app notice he was given) . After waiting until 7:20 a.m. with no boat arriving he phoned the tour operator and got a new starting point at Grand Riviere Noire Jetty. We were there at 7:30 a.m. but the boat did not show up in time at that spot. Finally the tour started at 8 a.m. with many other boats. First spot with one dolphin was directly in Grand Riviere Bay with muddy water and no visibility. So we decided against that spot. Second spot close to Tamarin Bay was good visibility with 5 bottlenose dolphins. The Guide Ygor told us to be there for our safety, but in fact he always swam himself with a go pro directly toward the dolphins,to get good shots for the instagram account. so we have now lots of videos from him instead of the dolphins by themselves.. Good was that we could decide only for dolphin swimming instead of snorcheling close to the island. And the drop of points for the swimming with the dolphins where good, if the guide would not start chasing dolphin photos/videos for himself and the Mjolnir instagram page... But because of that decision to swim only with the dolphins we did not get the full time ...the tour ended after 1,5 hours instead of the 2;5 hours. In Fact the dolphin swimming is great but the tour and the saftey guide could be better, especially avoiding that the guide is chasing the dolphins... The crew could do a better job.

Expensive and disappointing. - Meet at 6 a.m., the sky is cloudy, we board the boat and sail in the lagoon for 30 minutes then we approach the coral reef in search of dolphins but nothing. The dolphins are not waiting for us, they surely have better things to do! An outing paid €120 for 2 hours (at the hotel, it’s €200). It's expensive to just discover Ile au Bénétier and pass hotels. I do not recommend because it is really a stroke of luck to see the dolphins, it is better to take a boat trip to discover the northern islands: flat island, Gabriel islet.
