Great experience! - My wife and I went on this whale watching tour, and we have to say John (one of the crew members) is probably the most friendly guy we’ve met in Maui. Super outgoing and super friendly. He explained everything very well answered all of our questions about whales and Hawaii and offered to take photos for us. We got to see several whales and their calves but it was probably too late in the season for us to see them jumping. We really enjoyed the boat ride and getting to see the islands from a different perspective. Would highly recommend and felt the price was very reasonable compared to other companies we researched.

Best trip ever! - We had the very best whale watching trip we've ever been on! We saw a bunch of whales. There was tail slapping, breeching, songs we could hear from umderwater. The entire party agreed, this was the best!

Whales are AMAZING - Amazing experience. The boat Captain made sure everyone on the vessel was able to see these whales in their habitat. Would turn and stop the boat to get the best views possible. Jeff, a Navy Veteran who was a crewman on the ship pointed out many opportunities as well as made my wife and I feel like we were the only people on the boat. A once in a lifetime experience that would not have been as memorable if it weren’t for Jeff! We were surrounded by a lot of whales and as well as Jill putting a microphone into the water to allow us to hear the whales communicate was AMAZING! This was by far the best excursion on our trip. As we headed back into the marina, we were blessed with a full rainbow which provided a beautiful picture as our journey ended! If in Maui, you need to take this tour. You won’t regret it. But again, Jeff was what made this trip memorable for my wife and I! Thank you Jeff! You are a hero and a gentleman! May you always live in sunshine and happiness!

Life changing experience!!! - I watched a whale breach and splash down in the water. Let me repeat that…I watched a whale jump out of the water and splash down into the ocean!!!! We saw the whales slapping their fins on the water, saw a few whale calfs, saw them flap their tails around….truly a life changing experience. My kids had a great time. My son really had a great time. He’s 9 and just went from one end of the boat to the other on the lookout. My 11 and 13 yo daughters had a great time as well. The free sodas on board were cool too. I highly recommend.

Best whale watching tour! - The crew was great and there was plenty of seating for our family of 8 to be together. This is our third whale cruise and was millions of times better than our last two. So much so, that we made sure to take a picture of the boat name to be sure it is the only one we hook moving forward

Booked 1 tour, was placed on another. Several whales in sight! - Although the tour ended up being great, we did not get the tour we booked and paid for. We ended up being on another boat and it was not a catamaran and it was not a sunset tour. Someone messed up some where. We went out at 3:30 and back at 5:30 which is not sunset time here in Hawaii any time of the year. So, I would love an explanation for this, please.

We had a good time and... - We had a good time and see the whales. My only complaint is that the picture of the boat in your advertisement is not accurate. I was excited to be on a catamaran. The double decker boat was disappointing.

Fun experience but not quite what I was expecting - I paid for a different kind of boat, a smaller boat that could get closer to the whales, but was put on a larger boat without notice. There was a lot of poor information from where to check in, to the boat we'd be taking, to waiting in a line unnecessarily thinking it was to check in, but it was actually for people who hadn't signed a waiver.
Unfortunately it was a bit of chaos where nobody seemed to know what was going on.
We were told to check in at Boss Froggs (?), paid for parking only to find out check in was a bit of a hike away and when I asked about if I could move my car because of mobility issues, I was told "that sucks, just walk and take it slow" or I'd have to pay parking again.
Once getting to the check in area, there was a large group of people standing around confused. I went to find someone to help me locate the boat we were supposed to be taking, but told 3 tours were all going to be together on the large boat. I waited in line while others boarded the boat, there was one guy with an iPad who I was told was checking in people. Once up to him, he said check in was at the boat and he was only helping people who hadn't filled out a waiver. We had..we went to go on board and were told our picture was mandatory even though we had declined.
Once on board, there was a delay. Departure was 330, and at 4, they were just getting ready to push off the dock. We were strapped for time because of an upcoming flight- which was on me, but I didnt want to leave the island without a whale tour, and weather had been bad in the days prior.
Once on the lookout for whales, it wasn't too bad, we had a good group sitting by us, which helped pass the time as it seemed we just sat idle for quite a while looking for something. Eventually we moved and found a mother and her baby. They breached once and then we sat idle again. We moved and found two more whales who were pretty active, and amazing- even though they were quite a distance away. There were a few announcements stating we'd have to move back so the engine didnt have to be cut because of how close the whales were coming.
Perhaps there is a lot of technical stuff with having to cut an engine and restart it with a vessel of the size we were on, but it was a disappointment that the whales couldn't be closer.
Despite the whales being very active and curious, we left to head back to the dock. I was told it was a two hour ride, but from the time we left to when we returned, it was just a smidge under 1.5 hours.
With all of this said, the experience of seeing whales was very neat. There were many disappointments regarding this experience that would make me book elsewhere, specifically that I paid extra to book on a smaller vessel for a chance at being closer to whales. There was no notice that we'd been moved, and definitely no option to cancel/rebook.
Again, seeing whales was a main desire of the trip, but I would not go out on a large boat again.

Buyer Beware - We saw whales but were not on the boat I booked and paid for. The catamaran Malolo was out of service and we ended up on a larger cattle boat
