• W8C3+4H Kaanapali - Gemini’s main destination for most of the year is the Marine Preserve at Honolua Bay in ‘West Maui,’ famous for its excellent snorkeling opportunities. Other snorkeling spots include Cliff-house, Lanai, and Turtle Town in Olowalu. While exploring the coastline of West Maui, enjoy the warm waters teeming with marine life. Encounter a variety of tropical fish, including Hawaii’s State fish, the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, and, if fortunate, an endangered Hawaiian Green Sea turtle, known as ‘Honu.’ After snorkeling, a hot buffet lunch is served, and our complimentary bar is available. In the summer, the crew sails into the Tradewinds, always on the lookout for spinner dolphins, ‘Naia.’ During the winter, Gemini embarks on a journey to find Maui’s annual visitors, the Humpback Whales, ‘Kohola!’

During Maui’s winter whale season (Dec 15 – April 15), our snorkel tour includes the added bonus of whale watching on the way to and from the day’s snorkeling destination. Our skilled captains and crew search for the humpback whales that visit our islands during these beautiful winter days, ensuring they are observed from a safe distance. Often, while snorkeling, the enchanting sounds of the whales singing can be heard underwater.
