This stable, high-speed, triple-decker catamaran swiftly takes you to two snorkeling sites: Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. With all necessary equipment and ample food on board, it’s everything you could wish for!
The Calypso departs from Ma’alaea Harbor, where a friendly crew welcomes you aboard. You can then indulge in a delightful continental breakfast. Once everyone is settled, the journey begins to Maui’s most popular underwater destination for some Molokini snorkeling, all while enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze.
Molokini Crater is situated between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This stunning location is home to numerous fish species and a variety of birds. As a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, fishing and climbing on the crater are prohibited, but snorkeling with flippers and a mask to observe the fish is absolutely delightful.
Following your Molokini snorkeling adventure, Calypso will transport you to Turtle Town, a second snorkeling destination. Located off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town hosts several large sea turtles and vibrant reef fish.

Be captivated by the natural sights of Molokini Crater; a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) away from Maui coast, on this snorkeling expedition that sets off from Maalaea. Immerse yourself in clear, tropical aqua surroundings of this inactive cone which is a sanctuary for various marine organisms including fish, sea-urchins, sharks, manta rays, and corals. As a marine reserve, Molokini prohibits any disturbance, providing a pure and unspoiled island and underwater ecosystem. In addition, you will visit Turtle Town and gaze at the local bird population. If you don’t fancy snorkeling or wrap up early, you can use two water slides, a glass bottom viewing space, or take a ‘leap of faith’. The trip includes breakfast, lunch, light bites, soda, and juice.

- Snorkel locations are determined daily by our captains based on weather, swell, and many years of experience in Maui waters
- Wildlife sightings, while likely, are not guaranteed
- With your safety as a top priority alcohol is served once the snorkel portion of the tour is complete
- Alcoholic beverages are available to purchase for $3.00 each. Must be 21+ with a valid photo ID
- For vegetarian, gluten-free meals, or any other special dietary need please call at time of booking
- Seating is on first come first serve basis

- Underwater photographer onboard can provide custom photo shoots and offers a variety of packages to choose from

- Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28”. Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.
