Beautiful trip and Spinner Dolphins - Great trip with a fun crew. We saw multiple pods of dolphins including a large pod of spinner dolphins that swam along the boat and entertained passengers with their flips and tricks. On the way back, we got to watch the crew catch a blue marlin.

Definitely a MUST do! - What a great experience! The crew was excellent and super helpful! We got to see so many dolphins! Snorkel spot was amazing! Excellent options for non-swimmers: float belt, life jacket, boogie boards! My favorite was the board with the view hole. My daughter is 8 and was nervous about snorkelling for the first time so this option was fantastic for her and made the experience memorable!

Meh. - Pros: The boat is spacious and CLEAN and provides variety for seating. The food was DELICIOUS and plentiful throughout the day. The crew was HELPFUL, ATTENTIVE, FUNNY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and ORGANIZED. Cons: After an over two hour trip to Lana'i, they only stop at one cove. It's extremely limiting on where you can go, they don't let you get close to the rocks (where the good stuff actually is). The videos I've seen of the Lana'i spinner dolphin/snorkel trip takes you to at least two spots, and neither were the one that they stopped at. Honestly, I had far better snorkeling just going into the bay from Kapalua and Napili. Also, not that they can control this, but we saw a total of four dolphins. Not one of them jumped up. However, I am wondering why this tour leaves so late in the morning. It was almost 9am before we left, and I do know that your propensity for seeing certain wildlife increases when you leave earlier in the morning. Just sitting on Napili Bay a few days before (around 8am) we could see dozens of spinners jumping up in the air in the distance. I feel badly writing anything negative, because the crew really was so kind and helpful. But I wouldn't repeat this tour, especially based on the cost.

Least favorite of 3 boat tours we took while in Maui - This was our least favorite of three boat excursions we took during our two weeks in Maui. Sadly, because we had two others to compare to, the Quicksilver felt like a Ferry ride. We booked the Lanai Snorkel & Dolphin Snorkel tour. The weather was calm, but upon leaving the dock, the Captain announced that other boats were reporting poor snorkeling conditions at Lanai, so he was not going to head there as scheduled. This was understandable not to sail all the way to Lanai and not enjoy the snorkel. He said that instead we would go to Mala Warf, a place that actually can be accessed from the beach. It was disappointing that part of the excursion included Dolphin encounter, which the captain did not spend any time doing while on the way to Mala. he simply went directly to Mala, set anchor and spent the time there before heading back to dock. What disappointed us most about this boat was the minimal interaction by the Captain and crew. I don't even recall him announcing his name, other than stating that as captain he chose to divert from the itinerary. Our other two boat trips we loved because of the naration and interaction by their Captain and crew who truly made you feel appreciated for the business. While the Quicksilver was quite the opposite. It was simply a quiet ride to and from Mala. The only interaction with guests were to hand out snorkel gear and the Captain gave zero naration. I wish I knew the Captains name because he was not new, he said he has done this for 20 years. His two crew members simply spoke to each other about their other jobs that they were going to after this cruise.
