Epic - Brian and Steve were amazing. This was our kid’s first time surfing. They gave them great instruction, and the kids were up surfing in no time. The kids loved Brian and Steve. They provided a wonderful, unforgettable experience.

Best thing we did in Maui, hands down! - This experience exceeded our expectations!! Brian and Shaun were AWESOME!! extremely knowledgeable, great teachers, very patient and understanding!

MUST DO! - I wanted my kids to experience a surfing lesson while we were on vacation in Hawaii so after a lot of research, I decided to book with Soul Surfing Maui. I was very impressed with how quickly (and how easy it looked) for my kids to be able to stand up and surf. My kids' ages range from 11-18 and all three of them were up on their first try. They all loved it! Brian was our instructor, and he was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining directions to the kids. If we return to Hawaii, I would book another lesson with Soul Surfing Maui!

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP - Brian and his crew (Matt and Bennett) were fantastic instructors. They were able to recognize different abilities and challenge us appropriately. We all were able to have three super successful days of surfing and we have NEVER surfed before. We all were able to get up and surfing from day one thanks to their great teaching. It was a perfect balance of instruction, not too many details, just the important cues. As the days progressed they would leak out little nuggets to help us progress. We couldn't have been happier with the experience, it's a must for anyone wanting to get surfing, no matter your skill level..no doubt if you are an experienced surfer they will take you to the next level. Thanks Brian and crew!

A favorite Maui must! - Family lesson was so chill and relaxing for our beginner crew. Brian was a prepared, practical, and positive coach which made our time fun and successful! Had so much fun our teen boys booked another lesson a few days later!

Best family activity ever - We had an amazing time and everyone got up and surfed the 8, 10, 14 and 49 year old! Our instructor was friendly and put everyone at ease and gave us confidence to surf. This is absolutely the best experience to book for your time on Maui. Book it early in your trip so you can go out again. Our kids are excited to tell their friends at home that they surfed in Hawaii. Great communication and very experienced instructors. Highly recommend!

Sun, Surf, Sea Turtles, Incredible Views, and an Amazing Family Session with Brian - We had such an awesome family surf lesson with Brian at Soul Surfing Maui. From the start, Brian made everything easy. He texted us before we even arrived to make sure we were ready for the day and knew exactly where to go, which we really appreciated. Once we got there, Soul Surfing Maui had everything covered with rash guards, booties, and boards, so all we had to do was show up and have fun. Our whole family would definitely be considered beginners, but Brian made learning to surf enjoyable right away. He was awesome, easygoing, and never made us feel rushed. Our family ranges in age from 15 to 47, and Brian made this experience all about family. He was engaged the entire time and clearly wanted to make sure we caught as many waves as possible. Even while we waited for the next ride, the conversations were great. Brief, informative, and part of what made the whole lesson feel personal instead of just transactional. What blew us away was how quickly everyone got up and going. Within minutes of being on the water, everyone in our family was catching long, rolling waves. Our daughter was a little hesitant at first, but by the end she was an absolute rockstar on the waves. Watching her confidence build was one of the best parts of the day. The setting made it even better. We had beautiful sunny weather, incredible views of the mountains and valley, and great waves the whole time. To top it off, we saw several sea turtles popping their heads up nearby. They were so close we started joking that they were trying to catch a ride on our boards. Everything was organized, fun, and easy from start to finish. The only bad part was realizing we found this amazing family activity right before our son heads off to college this fall. We only wish we had discovered it sooner. This will absolutely be on our list for future family vacations. You really cannot put a price on an experience like this. It was worth every penny.
