Best of the best Maui snorkeling trips & crew! - This was our favorite snorkeling trip in the 18 years we have been coming to Maui! Levi @ Lainie we’re very knowledgeable as well as fun! We saw a huge pod of dolphins, tons of colorful fish & many wonderful honu! Every spot we went to delivered and then some! We look forward to coming back to see whales with you next time! Perfect private snorkel trip - We had the best trip!! Rented a private snorkel charter for our group of 15. Captain Kevin and Lainey took great care of us. They were friendly and fun and awesome hosts. Everyone in our group thought it was the best excursion we did all week in Maui. They provided amazing banana bread and fruit for breakfast and the perfect sandwich picnic lunch. Even though the winds made it harder to find snorkel spots they worked to find us some amazing calm spots that were beautiful. Seeing Lanai by boat is a unique experience with beautiful scenery and rock formations. We had a hard time finding a boat charter the right size for our group that wasn’t an inflatable but Makai adventures came through with a great boat the perfect size. Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent tour - FAR better than Molokini and worth every penny. - This was an EXCELLENT tour! Family of four with a 15 and 18 year-old, and we all loved it. Highly recommend doing the six hour tour over the four hour, as it allows you to snorkel in the best conditions on that particular day. There was a southern swell the day we went, so the guides checked several snorkel spots that were too rough. The beauty of this length cruise is that we were able to spend the time to travel far enough around Lanai to snorkel where it was exceptionally calm and clear. We snorkeled at the first spot, then came back to the boat for a light breakfast of banana bread and fresh fruit. We hit two more snorkel spots, then had a great lunch made by a local restaurant. Two of us had the poke bowl and raved about it. The other two had a sandwich and wrap that was also very good. They also provided drinks, chips and cookies. There was an emergency-use head on the boat, so there is a bathroom if needed. Levi was our captain and was excellent. Matthew was the first mate and gave us some wonderful suggestions for things to do on Maui that I’d never done before (after many trips to the island). Both of them were a lot of fun and made the trip even better. I would strongly recommend taking this adventure over Molokini. We were the only people snorkeling at each spot, and the boat only takes 18 people. The boat was comfortable, with bench seats and a backrest. Watching a dozen boats flood into Molokini every morning, knowing there were 75+ people on each one, reminded us daily of how glad we were we chose this. The water was a good depth (not too deep) and we saw a ton of fish and a fun pod of dolphins too. All snorkeling equipment was provided, or you could bring your own. This was a definite highlight of our trip!

Snorkeling AND dolphins!! - Drew and Laney provided a wonderful day of seeing the island of Lanai, snorkeling at a couple of coastal locations where a lot of tropical fish were seen and enjoyed, and even seeing a few spinner dolphins! Morning snacks were delicious followed by an equally good lunch! I highly recommend spending the additional $10 for the scuba-type top as it provides much needed warmth in the water!

Best tour from Laihaina - A simply fantastic tour. You go out on a real 38 foot boat, not a raft. That is a real plus. Although large, they limit space to 20 guests. If the need arises, there is an on-board restroom. Captain Kevin knew the secluded spots for great snorkeling and added sightseeing with narratives for added enjoyment. We were fortunate enough to encounter the large pod of spinner dolphins twice on the trip. Saw a whale going out and on the way back, the Captain waited patiently for a whale. We were rewarded with the sighting of a whale calf and mother for 20 minutes. Great trip. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Makai Adventures from Lahaina - Kevin and Julia were fantastic. We sighted whales and the same pod of dolphins twice. Great snorkel spots. At the end of the day saw a whale calf and Kevin waited patiently knowing the mother would appear. And she did swimming at the surface for a few minutes with her calf. Great experience. Highly recommended and will definitely book them again when I am back in the fall

First Snorkeling Experience - First off…the music selection was awesome. The boat ride out was as enjoyable as any of it. Three snorkeling stops, each better than the previous. Captain was cool, co-captain was awesome. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Don't Go On This Trip - We decided to take this trip because it was a 6 hour trip. We spent most of the time riding around and not much snorkeling. I winds were up so we were beat to death and soaked most of the trip, There are many better options for snorkel trips. Lunch consisted of cold sandwiches and soft drink. Will not choose this trip again.
