  Meet your guide at Beck’s Coffee, located just outside the Shinkansen gates, based on your chosen option. Enjoy an approximately 2.5-hour drive to Kamikochi.
• Matsumoto Sta. Alpsguchi - 8:00 AM or 9:45 AM – Pickup at Matsumoto Station
  Your guide will meet you at the Alps (West) Exit, depending on your selected option. Look for our light yellow Toyota van. The drive to Kamikochi takes about 1.5 hours.
• Kamikochi - Spend around 3 hours in Kamikochi. Our welcoming local guide will lead a scenic loop walk from Kappa Bridge to Taisho Pond, where you can enjoy your packed lunch, then return via Tashiro Bridge. Your guide will provide insights into Kamikochi’s nature and history along the way. There are excellent photo opportunities throughout the serene riverside and forest trail. After the walk, we will drive approximately 1.5 hours back to Matsumoto for the castle visit.
• Matsumoto Castle - Our guide will introduce the history and significance of Matsumoto Castle (a national treasure of Japan) from the outside. Guests can then enjoy free time to explore the inside of the castle tower (admission not included) or wander the surrounding historic streets.
• Matsumoto Sta. Alpsguchi - For guests who began at Matsumoto Station: You’ll be dropped off at Matsumoto Station in time for onward travel. If your hotel is closer to Matsumoto Castle, drop-off near the castle area is also available.
• Nagano Station - For guests starting from Nagano Station:
  After visiting Matsumoto Castle, we will drive approximately 1 hour back to Nagano Station for drop-off.

Avoid the bus queues with a direct trip to Kamikochi’s central parking. Take a picturesque walk from the Kappa Bridge area to Taisho Pond, allowing time for photography, scenic viewpoints, and a leisurely lunch break.

Later, explore Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan’s oldest original wooden castles. With pre-booked admission, bypass the ticket line and discover the castle at your own pace, while your guide provides insightful stories and context.

For those departing from Nagano, the tour typically returns to Nagano, with an option to conclude in the Matsumoto Castle area.

During the peak autumn season, departures from Matsumoto are at 8:00 AM only, due to congestion in Kamikochi.

• Please do not eat or drink coffee inside the vehicle to keep it clean for everyone. Bottled water and small pets in carriers are okay.
• Lunch is not included. We strongly recommend buying a light meal such as onigiri before entering Kamikochi. While there are food shops near Kappa Bridge, they are often crowded with long lines—especially during peak hours. Bringing your own lunch allows you to enjoy it freely while surrounded by the peaceful beauty of nature.
• This tour takes you straight into central Kamikochi in a fast, comfortable van—no lines, no transfers. Public buses are available but often involve long waits, and rental cars aren’t allowed. Large tour buses may be slower or stop farther from the main trails.

• On-time departure policy: Tours depart on time. We can wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. After that, late arrivals are treated as a no-show (no refund/reschedule).

• Guests over the age of 75 are welcome to join, but please carefully consider your physical condition before booking. This tour includes extended walking on uneven mountain trails and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or stamina.
