Walking through the stones of Matera - Anna, nice and prepared guided us to Matera and its stones. You will see the two stones and enter a house and a cave church. Very interesting.

An excellent introduction to the Sassi of Matera - Tour well led by Simone, which made it very interesting, interspersing historical hints to aspects of costume. Two hours and more that give a very good idea of history and life in the stones.

Walking tour Matera - Our tour guide was Lorenza timone Murgia and she was amazing. The tour was 2 hours and €30 pp. Lorenza was informative, engaging and had funny little stories, her English is excellent.

An excellent introduction to the history of Matera - The tour was an excellent introduction to the history of Matera: the right balance between historical information and cultural context, useful to fully appreciate the archaeological part and understand the evolution of the city over time.
Our guide, Simone, was fantastic: prepared, engaging and able to keep the attention and curiosity of the group alive, even under a really intense sun!
His advice on where to eat is also highly appreciated: an authentic place, far from the usual tourist traps.

Highly recommended - The walking tour obviously a little tiring (with 30 degrees) but also very feasible for me who have a knee problem. We were accompanied by Beppe, a trained person who described exhaustively but also proudly the contents of the story of the incredible city of Matera. At times it gave us goose bumps.... Highly recommended.
