• Matera - At the conclusion of the guided tour or tuk-tuk experience, you will have one hour of free time to explore Matera independently. At the end of the free hour, we will reconvene at the designated meeting point to continue our journey to Altamura.
• Altamura - Once the group is gathered at the meeting point, we will board our bus and head to Altamura, the renowned city of bread and Emperor Frederick II. The journey takes about 20 - 25 minutes: a short and pleasant scenic trip that will bring us back to the heart of Puglia, ready to discover the historical beauties and authentic flavors of this charming medieval town.
• Altamura - Upon arrival in Altamura, we will have 90 minutes to immerse ourselves in the history and flavors of this beautiful medieval city. We will begin with a walk in the old town to admire the majestic Cathedral of Altamura (the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta), the only masterpiece commissioned directly by Emperor Frederick II of Swabia in 1232.

Afterwards, we will make an essential stop at the Santa Caterina Bakery, the oldest bakery in Europe. Here you can experience the ancient tradition of white art and take your lunch break. You will be able to enjoy the famous Pane di Altamura PDO and the delicious local focaccia freshly baked on site.
