A must-do! - A must-do when you arrive in magical Matera. The tour really helped give you a sense of the history and layout of this most amazing town. The city is larger and more complex than you realize so a tour helps give perspective. We walked about 2 miles up and down - so be prepared and wear good shoes.

A must have guided tour of Matera, too much to miss otherwise! - Very enlightening and educational guided tour of an extremely unique city with a very knowledgeable guide. Matera is a place which has to be seen and explored to be believed. Totally exceeded any expectations we had. Our guide Maria was good, though a bit confusing with the chronology of Matera. We were a group of 6 which was a little too many for the amount of information she had to pass on as well as the sometimes strenuous hill walking.

Fine, but... - The visit covered the places indicated in the itinerary on schedule. Nothing to say. What I missed was an extra gear of driving. The date information was chaotic and lacked a structured and coherent view of historical evolution, which I then recovered by visiting Casa Noha the next day and searching for information online. I think this aspect can be improved
