This sacred site features five stunning caves adorned with intricate murals and over 150 statues of Buddha, showcasing the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Sri Lanka.
• Minneriya National Park - Take the opportunity to explore Minneriya National Park in the afternoon and witness the awe-inspiring sight of the world’s largest known gathering of wild Asian elephants. To ensure the best experience, it is recommended to start the tour as early as possible. While there are no additional fees for the tour itself, please note that entrance tickets and safari jeep costs are separate.

This region is home to three national parks—Minneriya, Kaudulla, and Eco Park. Since the elephants frequently migrate between these parks, the expert jeep company, guided by wildlife advisers, will take visitors to the best location to observe the largest herds on the day of the visit. Our chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel in Kandy (limited to city hotels) as early as possible, typically around or before 8 am, for a transfer to Sigiriya. This is typically a journey of about 2-3 hours. En route to Sigiriya, we will make a brief stop at the Matale Hindu temple. From there, it’s an hour drive to Dambulla where we will visit the Dambulla cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site that features paintings of Lord Buddha’s life on the cave walls - believed to have been created in the 2nd century.

Post temple visit, we will break for lunch at a recommended eatery. Following lunch, we end the evening with a visit to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
