- Maspalomas - We will walk along a trail in the central part of the island near the highest peak of Gran Canaria – Pico de las Nieves (1949m above sea level). One of the attractions is the view of the neighboring Roque Nublo, the east and south coast of the island and with good visibility of the Pico de Teide (3718m above sea level) in Tenerife….

- Sports or trekking shoes (with a good grip) are mandatory and will be checked by the guide before starting the excursion. During our routes, we recommend mountain clothing or sports clothing.

- In the period from April to September, rainfall is low, the temperature even in the highest part of the mountains is around 22 degrees, reaching up to 26 degrees in June, July and August. The T-shirt usually fits us well, but it is always good to wear long-sleeved clothing.
- The months of October to March are a variable period of time and more frequent rains (we always try to avoid carrying out our excursions during rainy days, but sometimes the weather can surprise us). It is recommended (during the mandatory cold days) warm clothing with long sleeves (pants, polartec) and a waterproof jacket that can work perfectly as a windbreaker.
- In case of force majeure that prevents the excursion from continuing or endangers the health or life of the excursion participants (weather conditions, etc.), the organizer reserves the right to modify the route or change it to another / another date, or cancel it.
- Recommended minimum age for children: 8 years.
- Considering that our lunch at the restaurant will be around 3:30 p.m. and your own way of eating, you can bring a light meal on your own, for example (fruits, energy bars, almonds, cookies, etc.). sandwich etc)

Unique hiking experience - Mr Maciek was very knowledgeable about the area. He showed us many things we would miss and showed photos of how some places looked before, even 20 years ago! He spoke many languages especially when it came to names of birds and plants but also other important things that may be difficult to understand in English if it's not your first language (Polish, German, Spanish and of course English). The route we took was a brand new one opened just 2 weeks ago that is so new that it's not yet on maps, so having a trip with Maciek was an opportunity to have an experience like no other! Very much recommended, great atmosphere and the lunch was also so rich and delicious, everything was included in the price already: starter, main course, dessert, water and one extra drink of our choice, so it was a great reward after a 7km hike.

Great Guided Hike - Really nice tour, exactly as advertised. Maciej collected our group of 3 from our Maspalomas hotel with another 5 travellers and drove us to the start of our hike near Pica Las Nieves. The hike was about 8km with about 200 m of climb in 2:15 with frequent stops to point our views, flora and fauna in well marked trails mostly through pine forests so very pleasant. We were fortunate to get a clear day with stunning views across to Mt Tiede on Tenerife 180 km away. The drive back was through amazing valleys via a pleasant lunch stop which we felt we’d earned.
Would recommend and would return.

Amazing - Really great hike, amazing views and a great guide. The walk was 7.5 km and just over 3.15. Followed by a drive back through more stunning scenery via a nice lunch stop. Would recommend.

Excellent Day - Highly Recommended - I booked a day hiking with GC Active Tour during my holiday to Gran Canaria. The day really was perfect in every way from pick up in the resort, to the hike itself (neither too easy nor too challenging) and Maciej's excellent knowledge and ability to guide and enable.
I have no hesitation in recommending GC Active Tour.

Great 3.5 hour hike in the heart of Gran Canaria - Great 3.5 hour hike (7 km) in the national park between Roque Nublo and Pico de las Nievas.
The tour guide Maciej explains a lot about nature and various events (e.g. forest fire 2023) - you usually don't get this information on your own planned tour...
He also individually goes to the max. 8-person group, takes regular breaks and explains again and again where and for how long you are going on now. Great!!!
The only point deduction is for the winding 1-hour journey - here the stomach is put to a tough test!

Beautiful hike - Beautiful 4 hour hike today around Roque Nublo, Gran Canaria, with hiking guide and great guy Maciej from GC Active Tour. If you are looking to hike on GC, look him up.
At about 1670 meters we hiked through a surprisingly green forest with lots of flowers in bloom. Pictures speak for themselves.
Great weather, blue skies, sun and about 20 degrees C, perfect for hiking.
Roque Nublo is a three rock high point. The boulder (Roque Nublo), the frog watching the rock, and the monk observing the frog.
