- Martvili - A natural marvel in Georgia, with archaeological evidence suggesting it was once submerged by the sea and inhabited by dinosaurs (as they claim and display examples!). You can take a long walk to the canyon’s bottom and/or explore it by boat. A must-see!

- Prometheus Cave - Legend has it that Amirani (the Georgian counterpart of Prometheus) was chained to a mountain in the nearby gorge. Here, you can wander through over 1 km of illuminated caves and admire the stunning stalactites and stalagmites hanging from the ceiling of the scenic passage. Even better, take a boat ride and sail through the cave’s turquoise waters. A fascinating experience!
- Kutaisi - Kutaisi was once the capital of the country before the capital moved back to Tbilisi. It boasts a captivating atmosphere, rich history, culture, and hospitable people with a great sense of humor.
I suggest we take a walk in the city center to see the White Bridge, opera house, and the charming narrow streets of the old town.
- Bandza - This is the village of my ancestors, located next to Martvili. When I have free time, I spend most of it there.
If my aunt, a master chef, is in Bandza, she will prepare the best lunch you could ever have. If not, there’s a fantastic spot near Kutaisi called Kvamli where the locals go. Sure, it’s a bit touristy in the summer, but at least it’s not right next to the main attractions… You know what I mean.
- Tbilisi - The commute from Tbilisi to Martvili (roundtrip), mostly on a new highway, takes about 7 hours.
