Do NOT leave the gangway or ride bus - Our tour guide, Pablo, met us promptly at 9AM sharp at the end of the gangway, steps away from the ship in Marseille. Outside the small gift shop you will see a number of tour operators holding up whiteboards and cell phone messages with client’s namesnames, this is where your tour operator will be.DO NOT get on one of the transfer busses! And your tour operator will drop you off at the same location steps from the ship. This was confusing on the directions given for the meeting point.. it was a lovely day through the French countryside with plenty of opportunities to take photos in both of lavender and sunflower fields. We stopped at organic farm to get a demonstration on the various types of lavender that are grown in this region as well as an olive oil tasting and also almond tasting as they are also grown in this very fertile area of Provence. We had lunch in the small village of.Valensol in Provence. We also sampled the lavender ice cream from one of the shops in town and purchased lavender sachets from the local stores as souvenirs.. It was a beautiful day in the French countryside and quite relaxing..

Paolo was an excellent... - Paolo was an excellent guide and made sure we had a curated experience exploring Provence and Valensole! The pick up/meeting was seamless and he arrived early. It was a unique small group experience which included stops at various lavender fields (less crowded ones), sunflower fields, a lavender museum, cute town of Valensole for lunch, and a local grower of olives and almonds. Paolo made sure we had great scenery with the least amount of crowds. We learned a lot about the way products were grown and refined in the south of France. He also made sure we were as comfortable as possible during the drive/excursions. The van was very spacious, clean, and cool (98 degrees out today!). Thank you Paolo for giving us an 11/10 experience on this tour. We are so thankful we found your company on Viator. Highly recommended!

Beautiful lavender fields in June - If you’re looking for a great tour of the lavender fields, then this is the one for you. Even though the trip to the fields from Marseille is about an hour and a half it is well worth the time spent. We enjoyed being in a small group of eight people in a very comfortable Mercedes minivan.

Thank you Elias! - My favorite part of the trip was Elias trying to give us the best experience possible. On a scale of 1-10 he’s a 11! Meeting Francois at her organic lavender farm of many generations was very meaningful. She was very gracious and generous. Thank you Elias for giving Will and me a lifetime memory. You are an amazing young man and we wish you the best. The Californians

Greatly anticipated tour of rural France - Viator was great about setting up the reservation, answering questions and following up with notices of automatic payment 24hrs in advance. We chose to pay in advance to be done with it. Unfortunately, with less than 24hrs notice, the cruise ship notified us that there was a strike at the port preventing the tour operator from providing the tour and for the cruise ship to dock, so Viator chose to keep our money.
