Very nice experience - Very enjoyable experience with a group that included visitors from UK and Switzerland. Our guide was very informative and personable. Many different tastings ending with a beautiful rooftop stop. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour with a superb guide - We are familiar with Morrocan food but this tour was a real eye-opener. No nibbles and bite-sized tastes here. We tasted an amazing variety and quantity of food so we were absolutely stuffed full of deliciousness by the end of the tour. We cannot recommend this tour more highly for people who love fresh, authentic foods close to the people who produce and cook it. We would never have found our way to the people who created, cooked and served our food without this tour. Some of the best meat we have ever eaten, and definitely the best couscous ever, and new foods which were just delicious! Atman was an amazing guide. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient- he really made the tour happen. Highly recommended.

A definite must on your stay. - I have done food tours on all of my holidays including America, Iceland, Berlin- however this one is the best I have experienced. Rachid was polite, knowledgeable and a joy to be around. We loved every stop we had on the tour and boy did we have a lot of stops. This was a highlight of our holiday. A must for anyone wanting to sample the street food. All delicious and authentic. Thank you Rachid. Loved every minute.

Amazing (dinner) experience - We had a great evening food tour led by Ahmed. He provided a ton of information that would be unknowable unless you were with a local. Our group went to approx. 12 places to either sample or sit down for full meals and we were stuffed by the end. HIs story-telling and personal anecdotes really made the experience come alive.

Must Do Experience! - Super fun tour with Khalid. He really knows the ins and outs of Medina. I got so much more out of this experience by walking and talking with Khalid. The pacing was perfect between shopping and snacks. Loved the variety of the whole tour!

Great group, average tour. - Our experience differed from the more usual reviews of this tour, due to Ramadan. When I chose the tour, I noted that it lasted 3 hours during Ramadan, hence I got the impression that it would be starting late, but then have plenty to see after sunset. Upon meeting our guide, he corrected this by explaining that we would be making 4 stops, instead of the usual 8-9. First stop was a soup from a market stall, a traditional way of breaking fast. A good start. The next stop was olives, which were perfectly okay, but not really expanding gastronomic knowledge in 2025. There was no discussion about local varieties etc. Next up was some underground kiln lamb and tagine - not the best of either that I have had during my visit to Morocco. We were then taken to see Fatima for her famous couscous. This is frequently cited as a tour highpoint in other reviews, which it was. What was unfortunate was the dog which had to be passed to reach said couscous, which bit the person passing immediately before our group then had to “run the gauntlet”. Nothing that the guide could have done about this, but it did certainly get the adrenaline pumping and rather dominated that chat upon our arrival to Fatima. We then finished up on a fairly touristy roof bar for a smoothie and pastries. Our guide excused himself and left us to it at 10.30. In the two hours we were together, there was barely any interaction with him in terms of food or cultural insights. He walked ahead of the group in transit, and headed straight for the hosts at each venue. I would have scored this trip a 3 based on this. However, the people we were with were a 5 - a wonderful, diverse group of people from US, Germany and the Netherlands. One of the party, a university professor of culture / history - asked our guide if he preferred doing food tours or history ones. He replied “history is really hard work because you need to tell people everything. Food is easy because you can just eat”. This pretty much summed it up.

Great experience - Great locations and lovely walk. Our guide was friendly and well informed on local history and films, but lacked a vital insight and knowledge of the food production, history and methods.
