Summit Mount Toubkal (4,167m) – Return to Imlil
Imlil - Begin the day early to climb Mount Toubkal, the tallest peak in North Africa. From the top, take in the stunning panoramic views of the Atlas range and the distant Sahara. Descend to the refuge for lunch, then continue down to Imlil for an overnight stay and relaxation.
Imlil – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Boumalne Dades - Leave Marrakech and traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the picturesque Tizi n’Tichka pass. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco’s renowned ksar, with a local guide. Proceed through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before arriving at the striking Dades Valley, often referred to as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a delightful hotel/riad.
Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
Merzouga - Begin the day with a drive through the High Atlas, enjoying the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) after breakfast. Leave the mountains behind and visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its mudbrick architecture and appearances in numerous films and TV shows. Continue through Ouarzazate and along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs until reaching the stunning Dades Valley in the evening, known for its red cliffs, lush oases, and winding canyons. Dinner and an overnight stay in a local hotel or hostel.
Merzouga Desert Exploration
Merzouga - After breakfast, dedicate the day to exploring the Sahara’s marvels. An optional 4x4 tour can take you to visit nomadic settlements, fossil sites, and the village of Khamlia, famous for its traditional Gnawa music. In the late afternoon, ride camels (or take a 4x4 transfer) across the golden dunes to a luxury desert camp, where you’ll witness the sunset over the sand dunes. Enjoy dinner under the stars, followed by traditional Berber music around the campfire. Overnight in a desert tent.
Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Marrakech-Safi - Rise early to see the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga village. After breakfast, embark on the long but scenic journey back to Marrakech, passing through palm groves, mountain passes, and traditional Berber towns. Arrive in Marrakech by evening, concluding the unforgettable Toubkal and Sahara adventure.
