An amazing and yummy cooking experience! - We had a fantastic time being taught how to cook Moroccan food. I was with my son who is 14, he loved the experience and hearing the stories behind the recipes - which also turned out to be delicious! An amazing experience 100% recommend.

The best cooking workshop in Morocco - The Moroccan cooking workshop with Lamai Chef and his lovely family was an unforgettable experience. They welcomed us warmly, sharing not only traditional recipes, but also stories, culture and lots of love. Cooking alongside them was a real trip to Morocco, full of authentic flavors and special moments. Highly recommended!

Cooking class with a bonus! - Abdellah Lamai welcomed us to his home with traditional Moroccan hospitality. After removing our shoes and washing our hands we watched as he prepared Moroccan mint tea in the traditional way. Our hostess, Asma, translated and explained throughout the experience. We were there during Ramadan so they did not join us in drinking the tea but this did not change the experience. Next we were ushered to a work counter to begin preparing food for Iftar, the breaking of the Ramadan fast. Chef Rashida led us through preparing harira, bread, chebakia and briouats. The rest of the Iftar meal was prepared by the staff. What a special treat to share Iftar with our host and his daughter along with Asma. The people are great and the food was delicious. We left with leftovers, recipes and wonderful memories/

A great day of learning how to make great morrocan dishes !!! - Amazing experience that I definitely recommend. Incredible facts about morrocan culture and the fabulous morrocan cuisine. The hospitality was superb and we generally couldn't of felt more at home. We made our whole meal, ranging from vegetable and chicken tagine, to lovely salads and even classic morrocan desserts. Additionally we got taught how to make mint tea and morrocan coffee and hands down everything tasted Amazing! One of, if not the best experience I've had in a long time. Thank you so much, and I will definitely come back in the future.

Wonderful cooking lesson! - Chef Abdullah and his family were amazing! They had fun patter going as they explained dining traditions. Chef Rachida was so patient as she showed us how to roll bread and form Chebekia. We loved every dish, and appreciated that they changed plans to include Msemen bread at our request. Highly recommend!

Emily (Fouad's group) - I loved seeing the pride in Moroccan culture, genuine hospitality, light-hearted humour- it was so much fun! They have extensive knowledge and explain well (with/without words), authentic, and I felt at home (a moroccan home). It was a great experience and I would do it again- highly recommend. Shokran!

Traditional, fun, delicious! - Fabulous and traditional Moroccan cooking experience with the Lamai team. After learning the art of brewing mint tea, we were educated about the typical spices used in Moroccan cuisine. We then moved to the kitchen where we followed instructions to prepare our own chicken tagine, bread, eggplant salad and tomato salad. The reward was sitting down to enjoy our meal. The Lamai team is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I really felt welcome in a typical Moroccan home.

An incredible experience - Where do I start. The second we walk into this place, we were greeted by the manager and the host/translator who made us tea and were very funny and so nice. They invited us into their residence, which is beautiful and very large by the way, and made us feel at home. They asked us about our lives, told us about theirs, and answered our many questions. They gave us snacks as well. After that, they brought us downstairs to the kitchen and gave us our own aprons, knives, and cutting boards. They taught us how to make certain Moroccan foods and they were so nice and kind. We made so many different things which I don’t want to spoil. But anyways, after we made the food they brought us upstairs and we ate all of the food we made and I must say it was incredible. In fact, it was probably the best food I have had this whole trip. The food could have been horrible, it definitely wasn’t, but the experience alone and the people that work there made this experience incredible and unforgettable. I honestly have never written a review before but this place deserved one. I couldn’t recommend this more. Please come

Amazing cooking and dining experience for the family - I took my family to Lamai Chef during our weeklong holiday in Morocco. We have had some amazing experiences while we have been here but this cooking class was at the top of the list of best things we have done.
The home is beautiful. As an American it is hard to appreciate the modernity and attention to detail that is put into a Moroccan home but going to the home was such a wonderful eye opening experience.
After our warm greeting by Abdullah and Assema where we were taught about the tea ceremony we were brought to the cooking area.
Everything was clean, well explained and done so with kindness and enormous patience.
The chefs who taught us were extremely talented and giving of their knowledge as well. I couldn’t say enough good things about them.
Finally we ate our meal (which was delicious) and we were overseen in the most gracious way by Abdullah who explained about traditional Moroccan dining customs.
Other than being too full it was perfection.
