it was all SO good. - We came as a group of friends knowing zero about cooking, and somehow left as Moroccan chefs! Zohra and Fatima were amazing — they laughed with us, guided us, and somehow made our messy bread look edible. We made chicken tagine, zaalouk, and bread, and it was all SO good. Honestly, this private cooking class in Marrakech was way more fun than we expected.

Authentic local experience - We had an unforgettable experience cooking and getting to know Fatimzarha and her mother. Their hospitality was above and beyond. They were both so kind. Not only did we learn their traditional ways of cooking, we got to spend the afternoon visiting and learning more about life in Marrakesh. It was truly one of my favorite days in Morocco. Don’t hesitate to book this experience!

the kids they loved it! - We came with our two kids (8 and 11), and I was worried they might get bored, but they loved it! Zohra showed them how to shape the bread, and they were so proud when it came out of the oven. Fatima was incredibly patient and explained everything in a way they could follow. We made lamb tagine with prunes, plus Moroccan salads, and everything was delicious. It wasn’t just a cooking class — it was a family moment we’ll always remember.

A Foodie's Dream Come True - Okay, if you're a foodie, you have to do this. My friend and I were looking for a cooking class that went beyond the usual tourist stuff, and Zohra's was the real deal. We didn't just make a tagine; we learned to make Pastilla, that crazy-delicious sweet and savory phyllo pie. Zohra is a total master, and watching her work was like watching an artist. Fatima was just as incredible. She patiently explained every single step, from how to get the phyllo just right to the perfect balance of spices. They made this complex dish feel totally achievable. And the end result? The best meal we had on our entire trip. It was so much fun and just so real. They're seriously the best.

Cooking from the Heart: Zohra's Chicken and Lemon Tagine - This cooking class was the most authentic experience I had in Morocco. Zohra, our kind-hearted mom and teacher, opened her home to us and taught us how to make her family's signature chicken and preserved lemon tagine. Her passion for cooking is contagious, and it was a privilege to learn from her. Fatima, her bright and patient daughter, was the perfect partner, translating with ease and offering helpful tips every step of the way. We prepared a truly wonderful meal together, and I felt like I was cooking with a family, not just taking a class. The flavors were incredible, and the entire atmosphere was so genuine and welcoming. It was an unforgettable day filled with laughter and delicious food.

Another fantastic experience with The Moroccan Tour — the cooking class was amazing! - We’re a group of friends who already did two incredible tours with The Moroccan Tour — the Atlas Mountains trip and the Agafay Desert tour — and both were unforgettable. So, when we heard about their Moroccan cooking class with Zohra and Fatima, we didn’t hesitate to join. The cooking class was just as wonderful! We made taktouka, zaalouk, homemade Moroccan bread, and a delicious chicken tagine. Zohra, the mom, was so warm and kind, and her daughter Fatima did a great job translating and explaining everything clearly. The whole atmosphere felt like being welcomed into a real Moroccan family’s home. It was hands-on, fun, and full of authentic flavors. Sharing the meal together with them at the end was the perfect way to finish the day. If you’re thinking about booking any tours or activities with The Moroccan Tour, don’t hesitate — all their experiences are top quality and truly special!

A Delicious Cultural Exchange - This experience was the definition of authentic. We didn’t just learn to cook — we were invited into the heart of a Moroccan home. Zohra, with her gentle presence and experienced hands, guided us through traditional recipes, while Fatima explained each step, adding cultural context and personal stories that made it all come to life. We made taktouka, zaalouk, and the most flavorful chicken tagine I’ve ever had. The process of kneading and baking the homemade bread gave us a true appreciation for how much love goes into Moroccan food. If you’re looking for something real — not touristy or rushed — this is it. We left with full stomachs and full hearts.

Felt Like Cooking with My Moroccan Auntie - From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. We made a chicken tagine with lemon and green olives, and I can still taste how tender and flavorful it was. But honestly, the food was just part of it — Zohra made us laugh, shared stories, and let us into her world. We left feeling full in every sense of the word.
