Great guide. Camels are mistreated. - Abderriham was our guide and he was helpul and thoughtful explaining everything each step of the way. 5 stars for him. He was great at communicating where and when to meet before the tour and very thoughtful and patient. The shows were amusing 4 stars. The views -those were incredible. The food was disappointing compared to the food we had locally. 3 stars for the food. No stars for the camel ride. Not because the ride itself but because of the condition and treatment of the camels which was so completely heartbreaking and disturbing. These majestic creatures were obviously exhausted and mistreated. 2 camels had open bleeding sores, when they started to lay down and whimper when they saw people approaching they were hit with a small stick and forced to stand back up only to be made to lay down again for rides. There were 2 baby camels that were trying to nurse only to be scurried away from their mothers. The worst part was on the ride itself (which we debated even doing at this point), was when one of the riders keot obnoxiously squealing with 'fear" of the camel behind her. The camels are tethered to form a caravan. Because the faces are near the rear of the camel in front sometimes they get close to your bottom. To be clear she was never in danger, the camel was not trying to bite. But because of this the camel handler literally tethered the camels head to the saddle back so it could not move its head or neck. It moaned the entire ride constantly trying to escape the bridle. I was in tears by the end of the ride and now feel like this is a barbaric and awful thing to do. I believe the open sores on the other camels faces are from a similar practice. Please pet and love the camels, do not ride them. Walk along them in the desert, its a short ride. You can still take pictures and appreciate them. They deserve better. The operating company should he ashamed.

A wonderful highlight of our holiday to Marrakech - We had a wonderful experience on this trip. As promised, we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel promptly. First, we visited the argan oil co-op which was really interesting and provided much needed refreshments. The canal ride as the sun went down was a highlight as was the amazing and plentiful food and the entertainment pit on by the musicians and the fire thrower. Overall, it was an amazing evening in a very beautiful location. We would like to thank Jawad and everyone for looking after us so well and providing one of the highlights of our holiday to Marrakech.

Magic 🇲🇦 - After reading tonnes of reviews for various excursions like this, I remained a little hesitant and uncertain about what to expect. However, we had a FABULOUS evening. Our guide was Omar Badry - a very efficient and polite young man. He checked in with us the whole time and we felt very safe and comfortable. The drive into the desert itself is a little uneven, so If you are prone to travel sickness be cautious - and certainly don’t have too many beers through the day!!!! However, it was well worth it for the authentic experience that awaits. Camel riding reviews are seemingly very mixed - but it’s a fun jaunt nonetheless and not as scary as I thought. I suspect some parts of the desert are a little more picturesque, and it was a shame there are so many power cables about which spoils the illusion somewhat - but it was still a great time. I had very low expectations of the camp and food - but wow. What a beautiful place. It made me want to book a retreat to the desert. The service was fantastic and it was a welcome relief from the humidity of the centre of Marrakech. Sitting in the camp listening to the music - it was a world away from the stresses of working life. Without a doubt, something I would recommend to all!

Great guide on our trip - The Berber village afterwards was my favourite part, stroking the camels was also a highlight. Omar our guide was amazing and checking on everyone throughout the trip asking if they were enjoying it or needed anything. He also bought cold bottled water for everyone from a shop on the way there due to the weather being so hot that day which was very thoughtful. The food afterwards was great and Omar again asking if we wanted anymore and bringing second servings. Would recommend. :)

Jam packed, worth every penny trip to Agafay - From the start of the trip the communication from Omar Badry was excellent. He made sure to give clear details and this made sure the pickup was smooth. Lovely air conditioned vehicle, professional driver and excellent care from Omar. One of the passengers was ill and she was well looked after by Omar. The Argan oil cooperative was an interesting stop but I thought the products a bit pricey. Camel ride in the desert and watching the sunset was great (decide for yourself regarding the ethics of camel rides, can’t argue with the sunset though) The final dinner location was excellent. The journey to and from the shaft desert gives you a great chance to see the sights and sounds of Marrakesh.

Great 1/2 day trip - The trip was amazing, the camel ride was great and the food was magnificent. Omar our tour guide was lovely. The only thing is, the bus ride is a little long and bumpy so just be careful if you get carsick. But overall an amazing experience.

Friendly and accommodating - A wonderful dinner experience. The food is delicious, but the Atlas mountains makes it better. Fast and friendly communication. Please be aware of staying a little outside of Marrakech because they do not know certain locations or can pick up at that location of your stay. They ended up being able to find our residence but it took a few tries of sending live location.
