Beautiful desert experience with typical food and musical entertainment - After the transfer to the desert with a minibus you could still do a camel ride and/or a quad bike ride before dinner, depending on the booking. In the evening we went on foot to a small hill from which we had a wonderful view into the distance of the setting sun.
Afterwards we sat down on typical (low) seat cushions at flat dining tables. The food was very tasty and rich, between the individual courses various musicians played Moroccan melodies and sang to it. At the end of the evening there was a fire show at the barbecue area, which was quite spectacular. At around 22:00 the evening was over and the return transport to Marrakech took place. The team in the desert was super friendly and very well organized, our best thanks for that!
The only criticism of the booking was the fact that the tour was held at Viator as a 4-hour event starting at 16:00 incl. Pick up at the property was advertised. In fact, we had to arrive at a central location in Marrakech at 2:50 p.m. and were dropped off there again around 11:00 p.m. Thus, the times and the pick-up location were not right, which made our planning much more difficult. That should be changed urgently.

Dinner in the Desert - For those who do not have much time, and would like to have a little experience in the desert is a great option, it is very close to Marrakesh and can spend a quite different and pleasant time.

Agafay desert - Lots of fun. Riding the camel, driving the ATVs in the desert, really nice experience. Jihane was always there for us. She is a very nice guide. Thanks Jihane for the wonderful experience.

Amazing desert experience - The tour was amazing. Swimming in a pool in the middle of the desert with that view and heat was absolutely breath-taking. And our tour guides Ali and Rabie were awesome. Everything was excellent. I would just recommend having more coolers on the dinner tent as it was a bit hot, but other than that, 5* 😁👍🏻

Great tour for little money. - After a long drive without air conditioning
(Not 30min as mentioned in the ad)
We first had some stops .1e with a view and explanation of the course.2nd stop tea and demonstration at the argan oil co-operation.3rd stop at the desert and across the street was the food.
It's a coming and going of people who come. The live music was nice, but after more than 2.5 hours the same tune you are done with it.
Great food for this price and the fire show at the end was also beautiful.
Back with the vans goes messy, because everyone leaves at the same time.
Great tour, for little money.

Dinner in Desert - Do not book this!! We were really excited for our dinner in the desert experience but left extremely disappointed and annoyed for the following reasons:
- We thought we had been scammed as the provider did not respond to our messages on pick up time and location until 10am on the day which was extremely stressful
- Pickup was a nightmare with no communication from the company, including the provider telling us the car was with us 10 mins before it eventually arrived
- The drive was a shambles with our driver taking numerous wrong turns so the drive ended up taking an hour and a half, double what was expected.
- There was no organisation when we arrived at the desert - we were welcomed with a cold Moroccan tea and bread snacks with flies all over them.
- We were then left to do our own thing for 2 hours - hardly a structured event!
- Sunset was good but not much of a structure with watching it
- Then dinner was an absolute shambles - it was in a tent with everyone sat borderline on the floor
- Dinner was supposed to begin at 7:30 but inevitably didn’t
- Starter was a tiny portion of soup
- Then salad for the main came a fair while later but then we had to wait another 45 mins for the actual main to arrive! The food was not good at all and at this point we were very annoyed and felt let down by the experience.
- The entertainment during the dinner was awful and it was evident everyone in the tent was getting annoyed and bored
- We then tried to leave before desert came only for the organiser to persuade us to not leave as the next entertainment was in “30 mins” - at this point it was already 9:30 and we still had the drive back.
- In total we got picked up at 3:15pm and got back past 11 - 8 hours of shambles instead of the structured 4 hour event advertised.
This was the only bad moment of our holiday and we highly recommend to not go on this.

4 hour trip lasted 10 hours with lots of waiting around - The 2 hours of meal and show was what we expected for the price and was ok. However, they picked us up from our Marrakech hotel at 3pm to arrive in the desert for 5pm for a meal starting at 8pm. Be aware that the drive involves a significant off road segment that we were not warned about. The organiser seemed surprised that we were so early and told us there was nothing to do for our 3 hour wait unless we paid extra for activities. The meal was mediocre, as expected given the price, but the only vegetarian option was couscous and carrots despite them telling us that there would be vegetarian tagine. After the show at 11pm we were told it was time to leave back to Marrakech but when we got to the cars they realised there were not enough spaces to take everyone back. We waited for 30min in the desert while a group of men argued how they were going to take us back. Eventually they got us in a car and drove us back but we were pulled over twice by police because the driver ran a red light. We were eventually dropped off at our hotel at 1am, meaning the whole experience was 10 hours long rather than the advertised 4. Save your money and don't book this trip!
