recommend 100% including for women travelling solo - It was an amazing experience that I would 100% recommend. In the first two days we had lots of stops for getting to know more about the landscapes of Marroco and learn about the diversity of cultures. Then being in the desert is a fabulous experience. We had live berber music in both nights and the hotel and camp conditions are of good value. Just bring and extra extra jacket plus many extra layets for the night in the desert. Omar, our guide, along with the whole team made everything smooth, safe and fun for everyone. He done magic in bringing the group together as a family. Last but not least I want to mention that although I traveled alone, I felt safe with the group. I am so gratefull that I got this experience.

Experience of a lifetime - One of the coolest experiences of my life. I am studying abroad and went with some friends. The guide and everyone else who helped were super friendly. The rooms were nice. There is a lot of driving but they spread it out with lots of cool spots to make it very manageable. Everything is very affordable and the food is delicious. I recommend bringing a lot of cash rather than relying on card because many places either don’t take card or highly prefer cash. Can’t stress enough how great the experience was and how good the guide was.

Exciting experience - The tour from Marrakech to Merzouga organized by Sayd was really an exciting trip, the landscape changes are breathtaking, crossed the Atlas mountains we reached a fascinating place like Aït-Ben-Haddou, the Dades Gorges to the spectacular dunes of the Sahara Camping in the desert is a unique experience. Seeing the sun disappear in the dunes is truly an unforgettable sight. All organized well by helpful people.

Pros and Cons - While I recognize that this tour may not resonate with everyone, I’m eager to share some upcoming highlights and potential drawbacks to consider! Cons: 1.) I booked a tour in English, yet I found myself in a van predominantly with a bunch of jovial Portuguese speakers. While I appreciate the effort from some to speak English, it was disappointing that many didn't even try. This made me feel excluded from the conversation, especially when they were discussing me at one point. I was late by just 10 minutes, but the guide failed to emphasize our call time for the next day. It seems there was a significant miscommunication here. If the guide speaks Portuguese most of the time and only translates at the end, it’s no surprise that I felt disconnected. Conversations in English were often lost in translation, and I deserve to be fully included and informed during this experience. 2.) The van is definitely cramped for 15 people. If you're sitting at the back and stand 5’8" or taller, you'll struggle to stretch your legs or sit comfortably—comparing it to Ryan Air or Wizz Air, leg space feels generous! It's also hard to hear the guide from that position. Investing in a larger van and a better sound system would significantly enhance the experience. 3.) The group tends to favor a particular upscale restaurant (along with a nearby trinket store) of their preference. The prices generally fall between 120 and 140. It's unclear whether they have a formal arrangement with the establishment. Still, it’s interesting to note that these restaurants often appear quite popular, frequently attracting other tourists who arrive in similarly colored vans. 4.) I was charged extra for the Quad ride, which I believed was presented as an option alongside the camel rides. 5.) Given the desert's extreme weather conditions, I recommend visiting in April-May because it can be quite cold during winter. It's important to note that caravans typically have no heating, and the electricity is primarily used for hot and cold showers. Be prepared to dress warmly, and consider bringing extra layers to stay comfortable during your stay. Now let me highlight the PROS: 1.) As a woman traveling alone, I felt secure and comfortable throughout my journey. I thoroughly enjoyed having an entire tent, complete with an en-suite toilet and bath, during my stay at the desert camp. The added convenience of door-to-door pickup made the experience even better. 2.) The 8-hour van ride was made much more bearable thanks to the thoughtful planning of toilet breaks, which occurred about 3-4 times each way. Additionally, the inclusion of stops for ATMs and grocery shopping, including opportunities to pick up some liquor, added an enjoyable aspect to the journey. Overall, these considerations helped transform what could have been a tedious trip into a more pleasant experience. 3.) The tour presents a thoughtfully crafted itinerary encompassing a wide range of experiences throughout the day. From the early morning to the evening, participants will have the opportunity to appreciate the serene lifestyle of the Berber people, who embody a relaxed and easygoing spirit. Additionally, I am pleased to include a music caravan as part of the experience. 4.) Embracing individuals from different backgrounds, despite the language barriers, is truly heartwarming. It's so touching how the Native’s first instinct is to share a cup of tea, showcasing their warmth and hospitality. Conclusion: Recommended, but please manage your expectations.

Use of quads is subject to a fee - The tour was well organized and the guides were very nice and helpful. You do many hours in a van, but you make stops every two hours or so. The visit of the places along the way is well organized and they are all very interesting. The only downside is that it is not well specified that the use of quads is for a fee.

Amazing experience, average tour. Only for Portuguese speakers - The experience to visit the desert was without doubt amazing, but the tour could have been better. We specifically booked this tour because it said "luxury" and we wanted to get the best experience during our time in the desert in terms of an accommodation, but it wasn't luxurious at all. Just a nice average camp in the desert (worth the price), the tents have their own bathroom but they don't have a heater! If you travel during winter you will freeze to death (as we did) and during the road trip gets very cold as well. The tour as described includes many activities, which makes the experience of being in a mini bus for 2 days much better, with a lot of bathroom stops. In regards of the food it depends of the day and which restaurants they will take you, not all the food was great and in a couple of occasions even disappointing. Keep in mind also that for some reason this tour it's created for Portuguese speakers only. I read it in the comments before booking but since I selected "english" as the language of my group I thought it would be fine, but everybody from the driver to the 2 guides that we had during the 3 days spoke better Portuguese than english and all the people in our group were Portuguese speakers, the guides tried their best to speak in english to us, but for sure not all the complete info was passed through all the times. As always, all moroccan people we meet was very warm and welcoming.
