Magic! - Here's the comment: Unforgettable excursion to Ait Benhaddou and the Kasbah of Telouet We spent an exceptional day on this excursion to Ait Benhaddou and the Telouet Kasbah from Marrakech. The organization was perfect with punctual and comfortable care. The first highlight was the photo stop at Tizi n’Tichka pass, Morocco’s highest road pass. The panoramas of the High Atlas Mountains are simply spectacular, a true paradise for lovers of landscapes and photography. The visit to the Telouet Kasbah was fascinating. This historic jewel, former home of the Glaoui, offers an authentic immersion in the history of southern Morocco with its mosaics and traditional architecture. The road through the Ounila valley is beautiful, between Berber villages, red mountains and unspoilt natural landscapes. The arrival at the ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a magical moment. This fortified village is one of the most beautiful sites in Morocco and an emblematic place of international cinema. Many thanks to our guide, professional, passionate and very pedagogical. His explanations were clear, enriching and full of cultural anecdotes. I highly recommend this private or small group excursion to Aït Benhaddou and Telouet, ideal to discover the High Atlas, Berber history and authentic landscapes of Morocco.

Unforgettable Day Trip to Kasbah Telouet & Ait Ben Haddou from Marrakech - Our full-day tour to Kasbah Telouet and Ait Ben Haddou was honestly one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized with a smooth and punctual pick-up from Marrakech, which immediately set a professional and reassuring tone for the day. Crossing the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, we were surrounded by spectacular landscapes at every turn. The panoramic views, traditional Berber villages, and winding mountain roads made the journey itself an experience. We had plenty of photo stops, allowing us to fully enjoy and capture the beauty of this incredible region. The visit to Kasbah Telouet was fascinating — rich in history, authentic, and far less crowded than other sites. We also stopped at a local rugs and carpets cooperative, where we learned about traditional Moroccan craftsmanship in a very genuine and welcoming atmosphere. Driving through the stunning Ounila Valley (Iron Valley) was absolutely magical. The contrast of red earth, green fields, and ancient kasbahs along the route made it one of the most scenic drives in the Atlas region. Of course, the highlight was exploring Ait Ben Haddou, the famous UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking through this ancient ksar felt like stepping back in time. Our guide shared insightful stories about its history and the many movies filmed there, making the visit even more enriching. We enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant with beautiful views — the perfect break before continuing our exploration. A special mention to our excellent driver and knowledgeable guide who made the experience safe, informative, and truly enjoyable. Professional, friendly, and passionate about Moroccan culture — they made the difference. If you’re looking for the best day trip from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet Kasbah, I highly recommend this tour. It’s the perfect mix of history, culture, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic Moroccan hospitality.

Kasbah of Telouet and Aït Ben Haddou - I visited in November on a solo trip. Visiting the Kasbah of Telouet and Aït Ben Haddou was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip through Morocco. Each stop offered a different, equally compelling window into the country’s history, architecture, and way of life. The Kasbah of Telouet, tucked deep in the Atlas Mountains, felt raw and authentic. Unlike more restored sites, Telouet still carries the marks of time—crumbling walls, fading mosaics, and quiet corridors that make its history feel tangible rather than staged. Walking through it, I could almost imagine the lives once lived there. The remoteness adds to its magic; it feels like a hidden chapter of Moroccan history that rewards those willing to seek it out. By contrast, Aït Ben Haddou was breathtaking in scale and cinematic beauty. The earthen architecture rising against the desert landscape is striking, especially as the light shifts throughout the day. Crossing the shallow river and climbing through the ksar offered incredible views and a real sense of how this fortified village once functioned. Despite its fame and the number of visitors, it still feels powerful and awe-inspiring—no surprise it has been used as a filming location for so many iconic movies and shows. Lunch at a local restaurant rounded out the day perfectly. The food was simple, fresh, and deeply flavorful—classic Moroccan dishes prepared with care. Sitting down after a morning of exploring, enjoying tagine and warm bread while taking in the surroundings, felt grounding and genuine. It wasn’t just a meal, but a moment to slow down and connect with local hospitality. Overall, this combination of historical sites and local cuisine created a rich, immersive experience.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - We took a day trip as private from Marrakesh.. We are family with 2 children (7and9). Mouad was there with comfortable ford tourneo 2025. My daughter has motion sickness. Mouad was a good driver and was very cooperative and stopped when needed. Mouad stopped at few places we requested. We purchased rugs and some fossils and argon oils on our way. We cannot think of a smallest low point in our trip that day. It was a perfect day. We started at 730am in the morning and we saw sunrise on our way. we stopped for tea with amazing view, meanwhile our kids slept in the car well. We were allowed to explore touleut kasbah at our own pace. We then stopped at a women cooperative for argon oil. I admit it was very expensive. Opposite to that there was a rug shop, we purchased 2 rugs and haggled well :). We reached Aït Benhaddou at 1pm. We head directly to a restaurant there. It was super expensive and the food was average. I would recommend to eat lunch at a place of your own choice. Mouad took us to this restaurant and we were so damn hungry that we had no strength to look for other restaurant. The lunch costed us 350 MAD. We left to explore Aït Benhaddou with local guide Ali who spoke decent English, but he was very patient and nice. We explored Aït Benhaddou for 3hrs which was more than enough. We descended and were down at sharp 5pm, which was a bit late already. Mouad was ready in car right there. We grabbed a waterbottle and left for Marrakesh. We were tired. Kids slept on our way back. I had good chat with Mouad. We did not stop anywhere as it was not needed. We reached back sharp at 20:15pm. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND their service.

An unforgettable moment - Hello everyone, We would like to share with you our superb experience with our guide Ismail. This smiling, dynamic, and caring young man is highly educated. Beyond his explanations, he is always ready to answer your questions: whether about the history of his country, its cultural, architectural or natural heritage... and yes, all this, and without exaggeration!! During our excursions, he did not have his chronometer in hand, and allowed us time to enjoy the landscapes and regularly proposed us pose to capture these beautiful moments.. To sum up, Ismail is one of our most beautiful encounters at maroc. We consider ourselves lucky and we are happy to have crossed his path... Delighted holidaymakers, Britons dixit, Berbers of France ^^
