Highlights

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – TIZI N TICHKA – Ait Benhaddou – OUARZAZATE

Marrakech - On this day, we will meet you again (at the airport or Riad/Hotel), and then we will depart for Ouarzazate via the Tizi Ntichka pass. You’ll enjoy the stunning landscape of the High Atlas mountains and appreciate the extraordinary Berber villages before arriving at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. The last Berber chief El Glaoui Et-Hami built it at the end of the 19th century; now it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to many members of the Glaoui family. We’ll have lunch at the Kasbah before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” There is an option to visit the cinema studio to see sets from famous films like “Gladiator,” “The Jewel of the Nile,” “The Last Temptation of Christ,” and “Sahara.” We’ll settle into our elegant riad with dinner and drinks.

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE – SKOURA – BOUTAGHRAR – DADES

Dades Gorges - After breakfast at the riad, we’ll explore the fascinating Rose Valleys. Our first stop will be Skoura to pass through the valley and visit the beautiful and well-preserved Kasbah of Ameridil. We’ll continue towards the village of Kalaa M’gouna, famous for its rose fields and rose-based products. Every May, a rose festival is held here when the roses are harvested. Since this is the route of the thousands of Kasbahs, there will be many opportunities to take memorable photos. Our journey continues through the Boutaghrar area where we can meet Berber families living in caves with their animals. After lunch with a Berber family, we’ll head towards the Dades Gorge where we’ll enjoy seeing the incredible rock formation called “the monkey fingers” and the still-standing Kasbah of Ait Yul. We’ll stay in a traditional Berber house with dinner and drinks.

DAY 3: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGE – DESERT

Merzouga - After breakfast, we’ll head towards Tinghir and the Todra Valley, enjoying the panoramic view of ancient mud-built Berber villages that dominate the valley. Once at the Todra Gorge, you can walk under the 300-meter-high red cliff, where many climbers spend their time. We’ll take the long road and continue through Berber towns like Tinjdad and Touroug, finally reaching the city of Erfoud, famous for its fossils. From there, we’ll head to the Merzouga area where there are sand dunes. We’ll spend the night in a hotel near the dunes with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 4: EXPLORE THE DESERT AREA AND RETURN TO CAMEL

Merzouga Desert - After breakfast at the riad, your exploratory tour of the area begins with a visit to the “black people,” originally from Sudan, Mali, and Senegal, to experience their music and lifestyle. Next, we’ll head into the desert area to find nomadic families and explore their way of life. Our meal will be a traditional Berber pizza in the village of Khamlia. We’ll then return to Merzouga. You’ll ride your camel, guided by an expert, to explore the hidden parts of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. The camel trek lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes until you reach the camp where you can watch the sunset and stargaze. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where we will spend the night.

DAY 5: THE DESERT – ZIZ VALLEY – CEDAR FOREST – FEZ

Fes - In the morning, your guide will wake you up to witness the best sunrise of your life. We’ll then return to your riad in Merzouga. After breakfast and a warm drink, we’ll travel to Fes via Midelt and Ifrane. Your journey will continue along the magnificent and rich Ziz Valley. Here you can see the panoramic view of the Ziz Canyon before reaching Midelt via the Tizi Ntgalhamt Pass. After lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant along the way, our journey continues towards Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas mountains. We’ll stop to see the Barbary monkeys in the famous cedar forest. Then, in Ifrane, “the French or Swiss city of Morocco,” we’ll stop to take photos or have a drink before heading to your accommodation in Fez, where the trip ends.

Enjoying Morocco - The trip was in group with other people from different countries. After I booked the tour via viator, I contacted Hami, he is our friendly guide during the trip. Joining on this trip was a Spanish couple. During our trip, we asked why the ancient villages looked abandoned, what the significance of several buildings were, and what animals are in the desert. Hami was able to answer all of our questions in both English and French! Our van was fully equipped with AC and very comfortable. Third-party guides - some of which were included as part of the trip cost - led us through ancient ruins and filled us in on their history. Riding the quad in the dunes of the Merzouga desert was a highlight for me and I recommend this tour And Enjoying Morocco

The best ever desert camp - Excellent 3 days tour. Great value for money, we have not missed anything. In particular, we did not expect so much from the intermediate stops, for us to see very cool things. Super good with the guide hami organized everything will , punctuality ... The hotel on the first night could be improved but we were able to take a shower and sleep without cold, which is what you need after all. The desert camp was a lot of fun, we expected it to be more seedy. We had a private tent for the two of us and there was a shared bathroom and showers, How against, we booked the tour in Spanish and it has been entirely in English; It has not been a problem for us since we understand the language but for other people it can be a hindrance. We would repeat without hesitation, 100% recommended experience.

Beautiful Trip - Our 3 days tour. started in Marrakech. With Our group was made up of 14 people who came from different parts of the world. We had a driver moha and a guide Hami. Absolutely efficient, ready to help and always answering our questions kindly. We made several stops at key points to take photos and other smaller ones to have a drink or rest a little. What I loved most about the trip was the arrival in the desert with a beautiful sunset. The absolutely luxury tents. And the dinner and breakfast service provided by the members of the camp, excellent. At night different groups from the camp gathered around a campfire. There was berber music with drums and other musical instruments, dancing and singing. When everyone left, we moved away from the camp to outside to be able to observe a beautiful stars night under the moonlight I recommend this tour company
