Tour from Marrakech to Dades Gorges

Marrakech - Our driver will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech at 8:30 a.m. to begin your 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, heading towards Dades Valley. Marrakech, known as the tourism capital of Morocco, is a popular starting point for unforgettable tours.

Tizi n Tichka - We will traverse the renowned Tizi- N-Tichka pass, which stands 2260 meters above sea level in the High Atlas mountains.

Ouarzazate - Enjoy the scenic mountain road, marvel at the beautiful landscapes with varying colors, and pass through numerous authentic Berber villages on the way to Ouarzazate. Here, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most spectacular ksars, and the Oscar film studios, followed by lunch.

Dades Gorges - Next, we will visit the Rose Valley, passing through the expansive Skoura palm grove, a wonderful place to admire the scenery and numerous kasbahs in the area. In this valley, damascene roses, such as the prized rosewater, are cultivated for cosmetic use. The Rose Festival, an important cultural event, is held here annually in May. We will continue to Dades Valley, where we will spend the night at a hotel overlooking the valley.

Dades Gorges - Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara Desert

Tinghir - After breakfast and a shower, we will begin our journey to the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Before leaving, we will visit Dades Gorges, offering a great opportunity for lovely photos and stunning views. We will then drive towards Tinghir and Todra Gorges, where you will have free time to explore. Next, we will head to Tinjdad town for lunch. After lunch, we will proceed to Merzouga Desert, passing through Erfoud, the Moroccan fossil capital. We will arrive in Merzouga around 4:00 p.m., ready for a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi Merzouga dunes. Upon arrival at the camp, you can leave your luggage in the tent and explore the dunes, watch the beautiful sunset, and try sandboarding.

Merzouga - Overnight in Merzouga Sahara Desert.

Merzouga Desert Experience

Merzouga Desert - Early in the morning, we will wake up to enjoy the Sahara Desert sunrise. Then, we will ride camels back to the hotel where our car is parked. After breakfast, we will explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi, visiting the two oases of Merzouga, the nomadic land, the oasis of Tisrdmine, and stopping at the village of Khamlia to listen to African music.

Finally, we will return to the hotel. Afterward, we will take a camel ride for about an hour and a half to reach your nomadic Berber tents. During the trek, we will take a break in the dunes to watch the sunset, try sandboarding if desired, take photos, and enjoy the scenery.

After the sun sets, we will continue to the camp, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea, dinner, a campfire, a music party, and an overnight stay at the Berber camp in Merzouga.

Camel Riding back to Merzouga - Rissani - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Merzouga - Early in the morning, your “Camel man guide” will wake you up to watch the sunrise from the dunes. Then, return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a shower.

Rissani - Next, we will head to the vast palm grove of Tafilalet through Rissani, stopping to visit the largest traditional souk in the region.

Marrakech - We will drive through the Draa Valley, arriving in Ouarzazate for lunch. Afterward, we will return to Marrakech, arriving in the evening and dropping you off at your riad or preferred location, marking the end of our services.
