Marrakech - At 7:00 a.m., passengers for the journey are picked up from their hotels, a process that takes about 30 minutes. An additional 15 minutes is allocated for coordinating the excursion buses, so the departure is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. daily. Those opting for the private trip option will be taken directly to their destination. Passengers outside the designated pickup area can provide their Marrakech address during booking and contact us to arrange transportation details, or they can meet at the designated point.
Marrakech - At seven in the morning, the driver is ready in front of the hotel to accompany the group. As the journey begins, the cityscape fades within 45 minutes, giving way to quaint local villages and markets, reminiscent of a bygone era.
Tizi n Tichka - Not far from the city, modern developments gradually disappear, replaced by the majestic High Atlas Mountains and villages nestled on their slopes. The Tizi-n-Tichka road, the second-highest summit after Toubkal (2260 m altitude), offers breathtaking views until reaching the Ait Benhaddou Ksar, an ancient Moroccan palace.
Ait Ben Haddou - Ait Benhaddou Ksar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, initially served as a guest house for commercial caravans traveling from Morocco to Africa. It later became an international cinema studio, hosting films like Gladiator, The Mummy, Prince of Persia, and Game of Thrones.
Ouarzazate - After visiting the Kasbahs, the journey continues to Ouarzazate, a magnificent city known as the “door of the desert” or “Hollywood of Africa.” Located 20 minutes away, there is time for lunch and visits to popular sites, including Kasbah Taourirt and the cinema museum.
El Kelaa M’gouna - After exploring the charming city of Ouarzazate, the journey proceeds towards the desert, with the next stop being the Valley of Roses. This area is renowned for its rose cultivation, where locals produce oils, perfumes, and cosmetics using traditional methods that ensure safety and superior results compared to manufactured products.
Boumalne Dades - The unique rock formations, known as the “toes of monkeys,” captivate visitors. Upon closer inspection, the rocks resemble fingers, albeit too large for monkeys, perhaps more fitting for giant gorillas. After a brief stop, the journey continues to the hotel, located 26 kilometers away. Dinner and the first night are spent at Hotel Dades.
2nd Day: Dades Gorges_Tinghir-Todra Gorges_Merzouga
Dades Gorges - Good morning! After a night in the Dades straits, despite the cold winter temperatures and the simple hospitality of the hotels, the stay is a highlight of the trip.
Tinghir - The day is dedicated to exploring Tinghir, the Todra fjords, and surrounding districts, starting with a meeting with a local guide. A guided tour of Tinghir Oasis lasts about 1.5 hours, followed by a visit to the Todra gorges. Lunch is enjoyed in the village before heading to Merzouga, passing through Tinjdad, Erfoud, and Rissani.
Merzouga - Finally, Merzouga is reached. A 1.5-hour camel ride offers a chance to witness the sunset and enter the Sahara, with another ride planned for sunrise the next day. The second night is spent under the stars in Berber tents, with entertainment by fire and folkloric dances in the Sahara.
3rd Day: Merzouga-Alnif-Kelaat M’goun-Ouarzazate-Marrakech
Merzouga - It’s time to rise, enjoy breakfast, and capture the stunning sunrise in photos before returning to Marrakech. Although the return journey follows a different route, the group is content and ready for a restful nap on the way back.
Merzouga Desert - This area is ideal for observing various desert bird species, such as desert sparrows, Egyptian nightjars, desert warblers, fulvous babblers, and blue-cheeked bee-eaters. In spring, a shallow lake sometimes forms northwest of Merzouga, attracting flamingos and other water birds.

According to legend, a wealthy family in the area failed to extend hospitality to a poor woman and her son, which angered God, leading to their burial beneath the sand dunes located 50km south of Erfoud, known as Erg Chebbi. These dunes, majestically towering over the twin towns of Merzouga, are said to have an even more astonishing reality. They transform in shape, reaching heights of up to 160 meters, and display a breathtaking rose gold hue, which shifts to shades of orange, pink, and purple as the afternoon sun casts its light upon them.
