St. Martin from the Caribbean Perspective - This tour provides insight into the Caribbean culture, both historic & present. Delicious "lolo" fare. Stopping in at Spicey Mama's store was informative & provided great opportunity to purchase items to take home. Loved the guavaberry torte@

Don't miss this! Best way to learn about St. Martin local food as a tourist. - DON'T MISS THIS! Laurina brought us to a series of delicious places for breakfast and snacks, all owned by local St. Martin residents who are embedded in the community. We started off by having johnny cakes and bush tea, ate sweet potato pudding at the market, tried mauby from another market stall, ate St. Martin pastries at a local bakery, and finished with some guavaberry liquer. Laurina is expert at adapting to your needs, and making the tour feel like a conversation. She also knows everything about the island--politics, history, culture, etc.--and answers any question you have insightfully and honestly. This is a MUST DO while on St. Martin, and shows you that St. Martin is so much more than beautiful beaches--it has a rich and vibrant culture that should be learned about and celebrated. Enjoy!

Local flavor - We loved the actual cafe stops for the Johnny cakes, tea and the other bakery. Food was local and delicious.. 4 stops, two were snacks, one was a spice vendor, and then a guava berry rum tasting. Lorena and her business island friendly is a perfect model for local island concept. She was also able to provide other tips for local food that we would not have discovered on our own..
