On our 4 Hour Shelling Excursion to Kice Island, we set sail from Goodland Boat Park. Marco Island is the crown of the 10,000 Islands. An array of breathtaking beaches to our south, accessible only by boat, are abundant with diverse shell species. Our seasoned captains and guides will impart knowledge about each specific shell you discover. They’ll detail their lifestyles, feeding patterns, and their adaptation to tidal shifts. Our team is proficient not just in recognizing them, but also pinpointing the prime locations. You’ll acquire skills in identification whilst gaining an understanding of this distinctive marine ecosystem, highlighting the significance of these sea creatures. AH-MAZING TOUR!!! - Colleen was our guide and she went above and beyond to ensure our family had a phenomenal tour which included peak shelling with ample time to find gorgeous shells on two islands, including welks, murex, fighting conchs, paperfigs, spiny jewelbox, and a piece of the coveted rare junonia shell! Colleen was so knowledgeable about the marine life, sea birds and history of the Marco Island area, and was able to name many of the dolphins we saw along the way- it was just magical! The boat was clean and comfortable, and Colleen was a skilled captain, providing a smooth and fun ride throughout the 10000 Island estuary. Her experience as a manatee researcher shone through as she told us all the fun facts about them when we stopped at a seagrass bed on the way back to watch a young calf. It was a wonder-filled, spectacular tour and we will gladly do it again and again- we highly recommend!

4 Hour Kice Island Shelling Tour - Highlight of our trip! Captain Marco is full of knowledge of the area and answers to all our questions. So many shells and beautiful views to take in. Love that we left early morning to see the sunrise and were able to take our time on the islands. Captain Marco shared so many stories and facts. We love learning about the 10,000 Islands and how they have changed. We highly recommend this on your “things to do” while visiting!

Captian Marco and Florida Adventures!! - For my wife’s birthday, we decided to do a shelling tour after reading many reviews we decided on Florida adventures . We weren’t sure, but we’re hoping to get Captain Marco due to the good reviews and the reviews paid off! We had a great time! from the initial departure to the end of tour was an awesome experience! Marco our captain was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the eco system. We learned so much from him during the tour. Not only that he had a great sense of humor! Marco was very helpful though out the tour, not only that, he timed our visits so we could have the best chances finding shells. After the shell seeking he found dolphins and got them to chase the boat allowing us to get some incredible pictures of the dolphins, jumping the waves he also found a manatee and taught us how they swim and leave telltale signs in the water knowing they’re there. Not only was Marco a great captain, He is a very caring individual picking up trash from the islands and disposing of that garbage properly! My wife and I would highly recommend Florida adventures and captain Marco for an awesome experience!

Shelling Tour with Captain Marco - We had an amazing morning with Captain Marco! He was the best: personable and interesting. He shared a wealth of information with us about the history of the Marco and Ten Thousand Islands areas. He also taught us a lot about the eco system of plants and animals that live there. There wasn't a question we had that he couldn't answer. He accommodated us in every way, and we all agreed that the trip and Captain Marco were outstanding!!

Ahoy Shells Be Everywhere - Maria and Captain Marco were excellent hosts. We found shells to our heart’s desire and the beaches visited were perfect spots. Marco is knowledgeable and shares his experience in a very welcoming professional way. Would we go out again? Heck Yes! Awesome tour and safe tour company.

We highly recommend this boat trip to Dickmans/Kice Islands! - This boat trip to Kice Island and Dickmans Island was spectacular! It SOOOOO exceeded our expectations! Captain Colleen was our guide, and she was AMAZING -- so knowledgable and gave us all sorts of interesting information both on the way there and back. The shelling was awesome -- we found great seashells and Captain Colleen was right there with us, giving us tips and showing us where to look. On our trip back, she noticed some dolphins and stopped so we could watch them for a bit.
The boat trip was worth every penny, and we plan to do it again during any future trip to the area as long as we can go with Captain Colleen again! :)

Capt. Colleen is exceptional! - Best experience of my time in Marco. Beautiful scenery, exciting wildlife and absolutely phenomenal shelling. Our Captain made us feel like we were taking a boat trip with a friend…funny, caring and always willing to share her expertise. Highly recommend this adventure!

Best shelling guide and experience you could ask for! - I give Coleen, our guide a 10+++. She was wonderful! She brought us warm blankets to wrap up in on our way to Dickmans. She let us shell and she was there if we had questions. She shared her finds with us and she made sure we were happy with our location. She was SO knowledgeable about the 10k islands and the wildlife. We met Knuckles the dolphin and she told us all about her. She gave us suggestions on where to eat at Goodland and we loved eating outside and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We found SO many beautiful and amazing shells! I have knee issues and she was so understanding and made sure I was okay during the trip. When we go back to Florida to shell, I will definitely use Florida Adventures and ask for Coleen!
