You can either follow our suggested itinerary or create your own, but make sure not to miss incredible hotspots like Portonovo Bay in the Ancona area. This is a must-see location with its rocky beach, ancient tower, and seaside churches. Also in the Ancona area, if you’re up for a hike, descend to Passo del Lupo beach. The journey can be challenging (wear closed shoes), but you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent white-rocky beach.
Alternatively, ride up to Sirolo and Numana, charming villages overlooking the sea, for a coffee or gelato before heading down to Marcelli or Friar’s beach. These are just a few examples of the many magnificent places around and beneath Mount Conero and its protected area.
