This site served as an agricultural laboratory for the Incas.
Maras is renowned for its salt terraces situated on a hillside. These geometrically arranged salt ponds yield a unique type of mineral-rich salt with a distinctive flavor.
The drive concludes one block away from the Plaza de Armas.
