Innovative and easy to do - The salineras are a true experience of culture, and it is a walk quite different from all we did. We could see the work in the salineras, taste chocolate with salt flower (delice! - in addition to a great souvenir) and check the Inca agricultural laboratory, in addition to buying original and beautiful alpaca baby products. I loved. I'd go again. Plus, it wasn't exhausting.

Moray e Salineiras - The tour to Moray was great with lots of information. One of the things I liked were the stops for contact with the natives who make the products for sale. I also liked the freedom the Guide gave us in the Salineiras to stay at ease.

A fascinating journey through Inca agriculture and millennial salt harvest! - My visit to Maras, Moray and the Salineiras was one of the most impressive experiences of my journey through Peru! I was amazed to see how the Incas mastered agriculture in an innovative way. Moray, the incredible circular depressions form a true agricultural laboratory, where the Incas experienced different growing conditions at various altitude levels. Each terrace within these depressions recreated a distinct microclimate, allowing to test and improve agricultural techniques to optimize food production. This impressive innovation demonstrates the Incas' deep knowledge of land and the environment, making Moray a masterpiece of Inca agricultural engineering. Salineiras de Maras, which have a fascinating and ancient history. These salt mines, located on the slopes of the mountains, have been used for more than a thousand years for the extraction of salt in a completely artisanal form. The salty water, which comes from an underground source, is distributed in thousands of small terraces or pools, where the sun evaporates the water and leaves the salt to be harvested.

I recommend - A tour that leads to know the Salineras, passing through a store that sells Mara salts. The Diego Guide's explanation was fundamental to understanding the extraction process.
