North Head Sanctuary - A nature refuge, bordered by dramatic cliffs, North Head Sanctuary, Manly, is located on the peninsula at the northern entrance to Sydney Harbour.
This place holds significance to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, the Gayamagal people. As you explore the park’s coastal bushland, via dedicated bike tracks, you’ll discover diverse flora and fauna, military fortifications from World War II and signs of the nation’s early quarantine practices. Were it not for the unspoiled harbour views, it would be hard to believe you are only 11km from Sydney’s CBD. - Q Station Manly - History Experience - Sprawled across the hillside on the very edge of Sydney Harbour, the historic Quarantine Station has not only an impressive Sydney Harbour National Park location but also an incredible history behind.
-
International College of Management - The imposing structure dominating the northern Sydney’s beachside suburb’s landscape won world-wide acclaim when it was built by the Catholic Church between 1885 and 1889.
Established as the first National Catholic Seminary in Australia in 1889, Moran House and the Archbishop’s Residence (located on the Southern part of the precinct) was designed as a blend of Neo-Gothic and Romanesque styles.
The stone building is four storeys high with a six-level central belltower and a slate roof. A two-storeyed colonnade flanks the central entrance. - Shelly Beach - A beautiful beach located in Manly, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is adjacent to North Head and Fairy Bower. Shelly Beach is a western facing beach on the eastern coast of Australia. Shelly Beach is part of the no take Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve.
- Manly Beach - Manly is one of those magic beaches that has something for everyone. It spans 3km, so there’s lots of space to spread your towel on the soft white sand and relax all day. Perfect to cycle alongside it.

Great rides in Manly - Really fun bike ride to the north in one day and down to the spit on the next. The maps are excellent, the bikes in great shape, the staff super friendly. We went for one day and then came back the next two days for different rides.

A great day out. - We stayed in Manly for a week and on one of those days we hired excellent bikes from Manly bike hire. It was easy to find, the bikes were great, we were given a great suggestion as to where to ride and it allowed us to explore so much further. We were glad we chose ebikes as we are used to those at home and there are quite a few hills about!
We were surprised to learn that cycling on the pavement is expected here as in the UK it is not, but that gave us much more confidence.
I would agree with another reviewer that it is advisable to have a little practice before cycling off for the day as we needed a spanner to help adjust a seat in the end.

Easy fun and great service - Everything was so easy and we had a blast. Staff exceeded expectations of helpfulness. I’d suggest you test your ebike before going far because one of our bikes was malfunctioning, but we called the shop and they rode a replacement bike out to us within 20 minutes.

I'd do it again. - Great experience. Friendly and helpful staff. The bikes worked great and even as a triathlete, some hills would have been quite challenging without the electric assist. Great way to see the sights and have fun.

Busy Bike Shop in the Middle of Manly Beach - We had made a reservation several weeks prior for an e-bike and a hybrid bike. When we got there the shop was very busy and we had to wait a while as there were only 2 guys working.
You check in online and then wait your turn.
A young boy came to help us and when we told him our name and he looked up our account, he told us there were no more hybrid bikes. I told him we had made a reservation and to please look again. There had been one put aside for us, so he found it and we were ready to go. I asked for and was given instruction on how to use the e-bike. We were given a map of the area, put on our helmets and off we went.
It wasn’t an easy ride until we got out of the few block commercial area as the ferries arrive at Manly Beach.
There were pedestrians everywhere,
We soon found a bike path and that was much easier. We followed the map along the bike path that was parallel to the beach and that was really nice. Once we got to North Beach the bike path ended. We turned down a residential street and worked our way back into the suburbs of Manly. It was nice to ride around the back streets and see the market places and restaurants that tourists may not see.
We rode for about 90 minutes and decided to head back and turn the bikes in.
You can rent bikes for 1 hour, 2 hours or all day. Prices were reasonable and the bikes were in good condition.

Be prepared to be your own tour guide - The guy at the bike shop was very helpful. I didn’t realize that this was not an e-bike rental. That was okay for the beach but going to North Heads was a real challenge.

MTB near Manly - Shop is convenient to ferry and has a wide selection of bikes. I opted for a full suspension mountain bike to ride nearby trails. Bike was in good condition and perfect for the local trails. Staff was friendly and attentive and had me riding in minimal time. I will definitely rent from them again and would recommend.

Unfortunately not a great experience. - It was fun to bike around Narrabeen lake. Lovely spot in beautiful Sydney.
Having said that, the bikes we were given were old, with rusty chains, worn out tire tread and very squeaky breaks. The guys at the shop said that's the best they could do, since they just got a shipment of hybrid bikes that they had yet to build. Why did they allow us to book hybrid bikes if they didn't have any proper ones available? Ahh, the mysteries of life!
