Amazing tour! - This was an amazing tour! So beautiful kayaking through the mangroves! We saw so many animals, and our tour guide, Kendall, had such great information to share about the animals and area! We loved this experience. A must do!

Loved kayaking the mangrove! - This was such a wonderful tour! Javier picked us up right from our airbnb and shared so much information along the drive to Isla de Damas. We saw iguana, tiger heron, white faced monkeys, a sleeping long nosed bat, a sleeping silky anteater (a rare find!). Our kids enjoyed it (17, 10, 8);Javier was great with them. He shared so much information about the different species, the ecosystem and interconnectedness of the mangrove. Afterwards we had a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch at a wonderful soda. Highly recommend!

A great morning in the mangroves! - We saw a whole community of white faced monkeys, the guides were knowledgeable and entertaining, and they kept a good pace for our family with frequent stops to observe and learn about the mangroves or animals.

Mangrove Kayak trip and waterfall swim - We had a wonderful time learning how to kayak, exploring the mangroves, and learning about the history of the area. He pointed out birds and explained the ecology of the mangrove forests We also went to a secluded waterfall to swim near the mountains, and there were no other people there, which I really enjoyed. They also made sure we had water and cut fresh fruit to snack on. It was really nice doing a trip where we didn't feel rushed at all and could spend as much time swimming as we wanted.

Best guide in Manuel Antonio/Quepos - Dante is the best! If you are looking for the full Tico experience, call him. We spent 4 hrs in the mangroves, caught red snapper, and ate them at a soda in Manuel Antonio. Next time I come to Costa Rica, I will call him!

Mangrove boat tour near Manuel Antonio - super fun with kids - We really enjoyed this tour a lot. Christian was our tour guide and Lalo was the boat captain. They were an awesome team. Lalo was really great in spotting animals, when Christian was talking, and we saw more than we had expected for this tour during midday. We hadn’t been sure whether this tour was worth doing, but in the end our entire family was super glad we did it, and we all would do it again! We have two kids, 9 and 14. However, we should say that at this point, we had done other tours and already checked off many of the animals we wanted to see, so we didn’t have any huge expectations for this tour in terms of animals to see. The mangroves are really beautiful, and it is fun to see that area. We liked that the tour went to Lalo’s house, which is located right between the river and the ocean, and we got to eat and drink from coconuts that Lalo opened and cut for us. A formal lunch was not included in this tour. For maximum Covid safety, we had chosen to follow our guide in our own rental car instead of taking a shuttle. In addition to everyone wearing masks the entire time, this tour felt very safe to us. Here is what we saw: Little kingfisher Kiskadi Long-nosed bat White Ibis Great blue herons Tiger-faced crab Boa constrictor Sand pipers Hermit crabs Frigate birds White faced monkeys Cows

Lovely tour - Nice tour guides who know a lot about the area. We went kayaking in the Matapalo Mangrove instead of the damas. There were no people around, only fisherman. We were lucky to have a private tour.
