A taste of local culture - A great tour focused around local food, led by a local person who practically grew up near the places she takes you to. It was just me, two other people, and the guide. The guide, Nel, speaks fluent English and has a very warm personality - combine that with tasting the local food and riding two local street transports (tricycle and jeepney) and you get a nice taste of local culture in just a couple of hours of time. After the tour the guide also sent us information about all foods we tried.

The Locals Experience - This was a fun way to spend the afternoon. We loved how it was in a neighborhood outside of tourist areas. We always enjoy having the opportunity to see daily life. The tour was well planned with great commentary. Some of the food was unfamiliar to us, but everyone felt fine afterward. We loved the chance to try the trikes and Jeepney. Ending the day with a local beer was perfect.

Enjoyed so much ❤️ - Amazing! We get to know how a Pilipino lives day by day. We know what flavours are very common in philippines. We weren’t sure before if we want to do this tour since we already tried some main courses that we didn’t like, but I am glad that we did it. We experienced some of the most common food and I find those enough friendly with people who are stomach sensible. We enjoy some sweets that were delicious

Good Tour - Nel was fun and knowledgeable. It was a good introduction to the local foods and an educational experience about Filipino cuisine. There was a ride in a Jeepney and a tricycle as well! If you're down to be adventurous with your food, you'll be stuffed by the end!

Would have been 5 stars, however, main meal restaurant was closed, so we didn't have it, despite paying for it - If this tour had gone to plan it would be 5 stars. However, we found out on the tour that the main meal restaurant was closed and there was no alternative. The tour does cost a bit, and we do feel upset that we paid for 3-4 dishes, that we did not get and were left hungry at the end. Especially as we had had shared portions for most of the tour, to pace ourselves, as we were told to expect a lot of food. The tour company should really have an alternative restaurant available for situations like this. Otherwise, the tour was good. The host Nel was excellent, very enthusiastic and welcoming. The food options to taste were exciting - you will definitely try things you have not eaten or not comfortable to order yourself. You get to ride a range of transports - like a three wheeler and jeepney. The host did try to make up for missing the main meal with a Halo Halo however we were really wanting more savory foods.
