Gokteik Viaduct
Experience the Gokteik Viaduct by rail. In the morning, drive to Naung Paing and take a train to Pyin Oo Lwin. Along the rail line, enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gokteik Viaduct. Upon reaching Pyin Oo Lwin, drive back to Mandalay. Located in Shan State on the rail line between Pyin Oo Lwin and Lashio, the Gokteik Viaduct stands 318 feet high, spans a deep chasm, and stretches 2,257 feet from end to end. It was constructed in 1901 by British engineers. Along the way, experience the local farming, paddy fields, and the vibrant life of Myanmar.
