Absolutely brilliant!!! - My friend was visiting me in mcr and I thought that this would be a really good way for her to see some places that you might not usually go to or even know about. I’ve lived in mcr for 3 years now and had never been to any of the places we went before so it was really cool to find some hidden gems that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. It’s a really nice set up that they have of stopping for some food and then a 10-15 min walk to the next place with some facts along the way, which is perfect as it helps you feel a bit less full inbetween! All of the food stops had clearly been really well thought out and the surrounding area that they were in was rich in history. It was a good amount of time for the tour aswell we didn’t feel rushed at all. Marina was so lovely and made the tour really enjoyable!! Thank you so much!!

Exploration of Manchester's history. Truly inspiring experience! - It was a fun experience, where we got to explore a lot in a short span of time. All were places I've never been to, even after being in Manchester for a year. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone excited to learn about Manchester's history and to feel inspired!

Great tour - Don’t hesitate to go. - We had a fantastic tour. Danny was a great guide, showing us the buildings and sites of Manchester and linking it to the history of the city in a very interesting and fun way. The food and beverage choices were excellent and linked to the history of Manchester. The pacing of the tour was also very good with breaks and food and stories of the city. I would highly recommend this tour especially great to start your stay in Manchester or even for locals you would learn something new about your city I m sure.

A great experience combining food and histoy - There were just two of us on the tour. We visited 5 locations for eats - 3 savoury and 2 desserts which were all very tasty and interesting locations. 2 drinks were included. The tour took in many sites associated with the cotton industry and the guide was excellent - detailed knowledge and lots of stories. I highly recommend this trip even if you think you know Manchester.

A great tour with a great guy. - What a great day exploring Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Danny our guide was really friendly, polite and knowledgeable about our chosen tour which was Cottonopolis, The World’s First Industrial City. We enjoyed the food in the various bars and venues that we went in. Danny explained about the relationship between the food and Manchester. We didn’t walk miles as the tour was carefully planned to stop at the various venues where a plate of food would be served and Danny would discuss the relevance of the food to Manchester and give us interesting anecdotes and the history of the cotton trade in Manchester that made it such a rich and powerful city. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

- Danny the Champion of the Manchester food scene. As soon as we met up with Danny our guide, we could tell he was going to be an epic storyteller and host. We found ourselves hanging off his every word, waiting for the twists and turns of the story. We went to places we'd never been to before, even as Manchester locals. And oh my that scotch egg....you'll have to see for yourself. Danny is a true guide, full of brilliant tales and analogies, as well as the secrets of the best snacks in town.

Fun, foody and full of facts! - We went on the Cottonopolis tour as a family group of 8. From start to finish, the tour was really interesting, and despite living in/around Manchester for nearly 20 years, we went to places I've never seen/visited. The food and drinks along the way were great quality, and the tour went out of the way to accommodate food allergies, making sure it was completely accessible. We would certainly recommend it!!

All of the food was really yummy and I got to try some things that I wouldn’t have normally had. The history of mcr is so much more interesting than I realised.
