Start of the Adventure

Meeting of Waters - The adventure kicks off with a pickup in Manaus. The journey proceeds to Ceasa Port, where a speedboat awaits to take you along the Rio Negro River to the Meeting of the Waters. Following this, a 1-hour car ride leads to the quaint village of Cachoeira do Castanho. From there, a speedboat ride of 20 to 30 minutes (depending on water levels) takes you to Jacareubau Creek. Here, you can enjoy a floating deck experience and interact with the river dolphins. The journey continues by boat to the opposite riverbank to visit the Tatuyos indigenous village, where you will partake in a traditional welcome dance and learn about their culture. The boat then navigates up the Rio Negro for about an hour to reach the Lodge. Upon arrival at 12:30 pm, guests are greeted with refreshments while accommodations are prepared.

Tapiri Lodge - Lunch is served at noon, followed by some leisure time to prepare for the day’s activities. At 3:00 pm, the group departs by motorized canoe to fish for piranhas, observe vibrant birds, and witness a stunning sunset from the river. Dinner is served at the lodge at 7:00 pm.

Jungle Expedition

Novo Airao - Breakfast is served at 7:00 am at the lodge. From 8:00 am to 11:30 am, a jungle trek is scheduled. The guide will share insights about medicinal plants and the insects and spiders inhabiting the area. At noon, the group returns to the lodge for lunch. At 3:00 pm, a boat trip to the Anavilhanas archipelago is planned. The group will explore the region for wildlife (from February to August) and continue with a jungle walk during the dry season. A stop to enjoy the sunset is included on the return to the lodge, where dinner will be served. After dinner, a motorized canoe trip is planned to spot the elusive Cayman using a flashlight.

Jungle Expedition

Arquipelago de Anavilhanas - After breakfast (8 am-11 am), the group visits the local community to learn about their culture and life along the Negro River. There is an opportunity to purchase handcrafted items made by locals using natural materials from the Amazon Jungle. The group returns to the lodge for lunch.

Post-lunch, a boat trip explores small creeks and channels to observe wildlife. There is a chance to swim in the river (during the dry season, many beaches are available for swimming stops). The group then returns to the lodge.

Jungle Expedition

Arquipelago de Anavilhanas - From 5:30 am to 6:30 am, a small canoe ride offers a chance to witness nature awakening as the day begins, with birds and creatures breaking the silence. Breakfast is served at 7:30 am, and at 8:00 am, the group departs by boat to visit one of the Anavilhanas archipelago’s base controls. The guide will explain the conservation efforts to protect the area and its flora and fauna. There is also an opportunity to see some Caiman in the region. The group returns to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, the group embarks on a camping trip in the jungle, traveling by boat to the campsite where hammocks with mosquito nets are set up. Dinner is cooked over a campfire, and the night is spent in the jungle.

Jungle Expedition

Novo Airao - A wake-up call at 6:00 am signals the return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast at 8:00 am, the journey back to Manaus begins, with an estimated arrival time of 11:00 am. The tour concludes at either the hotel or the airport.
