Continue with a stroll through the main plaza to visit the childhood home of Poet Rubén Darío, and the vibrant El Calvario and Recolección churches. The day continues with a visit to the Ortiz Gurdián Latin American Art Gallery. Overnight stay in León.

Matagalpa - Situated at an altitude of 2,300 feet above sea level, Matagalpa is known as the “Pearl of the North,” the country’s fourth-largest city, and the largest in the interior.
Matagalpa - Selva Negra Farm Coffee Tour
Selva Negra Farm Tour - This primarily walking tour takes you from seed to cup, offering insights beyond just the coffee process. Learn about history, location, climate, topography, sustainable byproduct use, and social programs.
Participants will visit nurseries, coffee plantations to learn about shade coffee, and an organic laboratory to discover organic farming methods.
The tour continues with the picking and weighing of coffee beans, following the truck to the wet mill to observe the process, and concludes in the museum with a cup of coffee to address any remaining questions.

Granada - Granada is a Nicaraguan city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, featuring numerous Spanish colonial landmarks that have withstood repeated pirate invasions. The city’s main plaza, Central Park, is highlighted by the colorful, neoclassical facade of the Cathedral of Granada, originally built in 1583. The nearby Centro Cultural Convento San Francisco is renowned for its displays of pre-Columbian statues.

Lake Nicaragua - After breakfast, explore the historic center with its colonial and neoclassical buildings, followed by a boat excursion among three hundred beautiful islets on Lake Nicaragua, also known as Lago Cocibolca, the largest lake in Central America.
Catarina & San Juan de Oriente – Managua
La Laguna de Apoyo - After breakfast, tour the Catarina outlook (Mirador de Catarina) at the Apoyo Lagoon Nature Reserve and visit the Indian Ceramic Workshop and School Valentín Lopez in San Juan de Oriente, a town renowned for its pottery. Continue to Managua in the afternoon.
