The building, known as the Column House, is a delightful two-story structure with a tiled roof. In May 2004, it was opened to the public as the Malindi Museum.
The museum hosts temporary exhibits, including the renowned Malindi Coelacanth. It also houses artifacts related to the explorer Vasco da Gama, exhibits from the Portuguese period of Kenya’s coastal region, and photographs of some of the country’s archaeological sites.

This building, known as the column house, is a quaint two-story edifice with a tile roof, and it opened to the general public as the Malindi Museum in May 2004.
