Friday Night Street Party boat tour and Full Day Snorkeling - We met Solomon on the beach at Sugar Beach. After reading all the great reviews back home, I knew he was the one I needed to talk to about a boat tour. The main thing we wanted was to go to the Friday Night Street Party “Jump Up” in Gros Islet. This was not a tour I saw offered anywhere from the Soufriere area, but he made it happen for us. We got a private tour up the coast with great commentary led by Wendell and driving by our fabulous captain Richard. We had a stop in Marigot Bay. Then to Gros Islet for the Street Party. First Wendell led us to get dinner at the Fish Frye. Then he took us to the street party where we wandered around for a couple hours enjoying the atmosphere and the vendors and bars set up in the streets. Dancing in the street with the DJ music was so much fun. Definitely an experience to remember and a highlight of our trip to St Lucia. Then a few days later we had a great full day of snorkeling, again with Wendell and Richard, with 3 snorkel spots and a delicious lunch at Solomon’s mom’s in Soufriere. Solomon and his family made the process to book and pay for these tours so easy. Highly recommend you see Solomon for any boat tours you can dream up!

Awesome experience - Richard was awesome. Hooked us up with whatever we wanted! We were there for our honeymoon, we did the half day excursion, mud bath, lunch with locals, snorkeling and booze cruise. Then booked ATV’s and zip lining.

Wonderful trip - Richard and Wendell were wonderful private guides. Great way to see the island! The snorkeling was beautiful. Beautiful waterfalls viewed from the boat ride.

Sunset anniversary cruise - Great day out on the water with Richard the Party Guy! Everything was setup for us a few days earlier at Sugar Beach when my wife and I bumped into Solomon. We mentioned wanting to go on a sunset cruise for our wedding anniversary and Solomon took care of everything for us. On the day we were picked up at our hotel, driven to the dock in Soufriere and introduced to Richard. He took care of us with drinks, photos, and snorkel excursions in the best spots! It was the perfect excursion to cap off our anniversary! Highly recommend Solomon Water Taxi and Tours…and his whole crew!

Great day out on the boat - Great day out with Solomon’s, spent 6 hours on the boat and the time flew by. The crew were friendly, knowledgeable and frequent with the drinks. Richard (Shaq) was a great captain, persistent on finding us whales, dolphins and turtles.

Spectacular private boat trip with whales and more! - A great day from start to finish! We asked to go snorkelling and dolphin spotting and despite some poor weather conditions Richard and Wendell were fantastic at knowing the best spots. Their expertise resulted in a truly incredible moment when we found a huge Sperm Whale breaching and flipping its tail - amazing. We were also treated to a delicious lunch, great commentary from Wendell for the whole trip and squeals of delight as Captain Richard sped us home in style! Highly recommend Solomon’s team and huge thanks to Wendell and Richard for a stunning day.

Book it! - We had the best time on our excursion. We met Solomon on Sugar Beach and he made everything happen for us that we wanted too! His son Marlin and nephew Wendell were our tour guides and they showed us the city, the sulphur baths, the waterfalls, and some snorkeling spots. Lunch too! Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Thank you guys!

So glad we found Solomon water taxi. - Our group went to sugar Beach and found Soloman. Talked to him about our trip and he suggested how his service could make a day for us. We hired him and he totally made it happen. Loved the whole trip. So glad we found Solomon.

Had a great time, easy to work with - We met Solomon and his fiancée Marla on Sugar Beach while we were lounging one day. They were very straightforward to deal with, and we ended doing something with them three times during our stay in St. Lucia: two water taxis and a half-day snorkeling tour along the west coast. We had some amazing snorkeling (eg we saw multiple turtles, swam in huge schools of fish, etc). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I’d definitely book them again.

Great Guides but Overpriced - We enjoyed our time with Richard and Wendall. They were fun, helpful and accommodating. They were happy to let us spend the day how we chose. Our only disappointment was we were expecting something different from the snorkeling - maybe to go out from the island a bit? We cruised slowly along the shoreline and visited 3 snorkeling areas. It was nice being in the water and we saw some interesting fish, but if you have been to somewhere like Turks & Caicos or Cozumel, just be aware this will not be that type of snorkeling. The last snorkel area felt like a tourist dump spot where everyone from every tour snorkeled on Sugar Beach. It was ok, just more people, obviously. I can't imagine this in the busy season. One thing to note - do not buy anything from the gift shop on Sugar Beach!! The guy running the shop was the most rude person we encountered our entire trip. I wish I had not given him any of our business, but we didn't think we would have other shopping chances on our short trip. I have never seen someone who is doing business for tourists who seemed to dislike tourists so much. He seemed so put out to even answer our questions. Solomon Tours - I would stop recommending that shop to people. Overall, we recommend Solomon Tours and have absolutely no complaints for our wonderful tour guides, but just know this trip and other snorkel trips out of Soufriere are not going to do much other than take you along the short shoreline. And the snorkeling is not the best. I think for what you get, $400 for two people is way overpriced.
