Built with 12-15 million bricks, Malbork Castle holds the title for the world’s largest castle, surpassing even Windsor Castle in size. The castle, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracts over 500,000 visitors each year. A museum located within the castle houses a vast collection of 40,000 items, some of which include: a significant collection of medieval architectural building blocks, artistically crafted amber items that are unmatched globally, an extensive array of antique weaponry and military paraphernalia, and a substantial collection of coins, offering a glimpse into Malbork’s historical mints.
It’s worth noting that tours conducted from Monday through Wednesday are designed to be shorter (1-1.5 hours in duration), due to certain exhibits being unavailable. A significant part of the tour on these days is conducted outside the castle precincts.
Your journey will commence when an English-speaking driver in an air-conditioned minibus picks you up from your hotel for your trip to Malbork. An audioguide system will assist you during your visit. After the tour, the same minibus will return you to your hotel.
