Gotta do this even if afraid of heights - It is a nice walk, up very high. Beautiful view with the option to take a slide down. I managed to somehow tip over and hit my head on the way down, but would not have given up the experience for anything. I did call and check the website for Malahat. Good thing as the 1st pickup spot was not used. It was a very nice bus there and back complimentary from them.

Funfair in nature - Fortunately good weather and nice view from the top of the tower! Descent with the slide and walk through the trees. Required favorable weather! Recommended for adults and children.

Very nice surprise! - We did not know what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had. The ride up to the Skywalk was beautiful and not too long. The short hike to the tower was very refreshing in the mountain air and the tower itself was impressive. We enjoyed the walk up the tower and the views from the top were absolutely spectacular.

The views of the surrounding environment left me speechless. - The Malahat Skywalk caught my attention as I researched the major retractions of Vancouver Island. This structure reminded me of Manhattan’s Vessel. This attraction was approximately an hour away from both Swartz Bay and from Victoria. The ticket price was reasonable, and I purchased it in advance in order to save time. I took a boardwalk route to get to this structure, and I did a hike through the woods to return to my car, which was found within the free parking lot. The boardwalk led directly to this structure, and I was able to walk all of the way to the climax. The views of the waterfront and of the mountains were totally beautiful, and I enjoyed looking at the displays that were present. I also walked within a netted area at the summit. I slid down a slide to get back to the nadir, and it was an exhilarating ride. I wore my flip-flops, and I probably would have had an easier time if I wore sneakers based on the terrain. This establishment also had bathrooms, a gift shop, and a snack bar.

What a view from the top! - It is an amazing feat! Made of Douglas fir and steel. It rises up to the sky and provides incredible views! Some educational signs are throughout the area. Good exercise since you are walking the entire way from the parking lot to the trail leading to the skywalk area. Then up 10 levels from the ground. Highly recommend it!

Worthwhile one-time journey to see breathtaking views of the islands - The Malahat Skywalk has fantastic views of the local sights and is very accessible to just about anybody. The ramp to walk up is a very gentle grade and you'll barely notice the trip to the top. Facts about the region, its history, and wildlife are presented on panels throughout the attraction, so there's plenty to learn for those interested in reading in addition to enjoying the amazing views. Even just entering the Skywalk grounds you're already greeted by these information stations and various locally-made sculptures. Have we talked about the views yet? Those who get a bit queasy about heights can still get their fill of the beauty of the area and find joy in just that, while folks and young people can get their thrills from the suspended net and the slide back down to the bottom. This is really more of a one time experience however. There's nothing much else at the Skywalk to do other than have coffee, snacks, or dessert. But our single visit was worth the drive over. The winds can pick up at the top of the Skywalk even on warm and sunny days, so bring a light sweater or windbreaker just in case. And hold on to your hat!

Nice hike to beautiful views, but we found the entrance fee too high. - A nice hiking trail leads through the forest until you reach the lookout point. It takes around 15 to 20 min. Then it goes up in circles. The view is wonderful, you have a great view. But then it’s time to get back to the car after just 10-20 min. We didn't use the slide and nobody wanted to jump on the nets. For this then relatively short outlook, this was simply too much money for us and we would not do it again.
