Highly recommend a local tour with Sujad to better appreciate island life in the Maldives. - Shortly after arriving in the Maldives, we went on a walking tour in Male and learnt a great deal about the history of the place. In a relatively short period of time, we visited all of the highlights, including the local fruit, vegetable and fish market, where we tasted local fruits, nuts and dried fruits. The fishing boats were docked by the market area and we learned how local goods and people travel between the islands and atolls. A highlight were seeing many stingrays who were sharing in the fish from the fishermen right off the dock. Our guide Sujad shared his local and traditional knowledge, and we appreciated the cultural and indigenous practices. Sujad took us on a private tour in the nearby streets in a thoughtful way to maximize our time and the trip. At the end of the tour he showed us where we could go for a fresh juice or coffee nearby with a great view of the water. Highly recommend. Visitor from Canada.

Special guided tour by Sujad - Great way to spend our long airport wait!
Sujad picked us up and took us on a Malé tour by wooden boat - such a lovely ride.
He shared amazing local knowledge and childhood stories while showing us the city’s key historical spots.
We tasted local products, met fishermen, saw fresh tuna, and even spotted over 20 stingrays! This is the best part of tour.
Highly recommended and you’ll love this tour.

Great guide and guy - Ali is great guy, he is really nice and Friendly. He knows all the History behind male ale local area. To be honest was really great experience to see something except resorts. Highly recommend

Insightful and Authentic Walking Tour - My boyfriend and I joined the Walking Tour in Malé yesterday and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city🥰 Our guide met us at the harbor and shared many fascinating insider stories about Malé. We visited several important political institutions, the central park, the fish market and a local fruit and vegetable market. It was a great way to explore many different corners of the city!
Since it was Friday, the local praying day, the usually busy streets were pleasantly quiet, which made the walk even more enjoyable. Our guide even managed to take us into the local market, which was already closed to visitors due to the praying day. There, we got to taste some delicious local specialties and gained an authentic insight into everyday life in Malé☺️ Overall, this tour is a must for anyone who wants to spend a great day in Malé and get a well-rounded impression of the city’s culture and atmosphere:)

Seeing Malé Through a Local’s Eyes — Incredible Experience - I had an absolutely amazing time on this tour, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. My guide, Ali, made the entire experience unforgettable. Seeing Malé through the eyes of a local completely changed the way I understood the city and the Maldives as a whole.
Ali shared stories, history, and insights that I never would have discovered on my own. From exploring the mosques and markets to walking through Sultan Park and learning about Maldivian culture, every stop felt meaningful. Sampling local fruits and sweets and wandering through the vibrant fish market added such an authentic touch.
This tour truly enriched my Maldives experience far beyond the resort side of things. It made me appreciate the country’s culture, daily life, and history on a much deeper level.
If you want a genuine, insightful and warm introduction to Malé, ask for Ali — you’ll leave with a new appreciation for the city and its people. Highly recommended!

Amazing Male City Tour – Honest, Friendly, and Truly Thoughtful Guide! - My wife and I had a wonderful time exploring Male with our guide. He was incredibly friendly, honest, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit. As Muslims, we really appreciated that he took us to the famous grand mosque where we were able to pray — it was a special and peaceful moment during our trip.
He also showed us many beautiful spots around the city and even helped us negotiate when buying fresh fruits from the local market. Also took us to his favorite local spot for dinner which was very good food. Everything felt genuine and personal, not rushed or touristy.
If you’re visiting Male and want someone who truly cares about giving you an authentic local experience, we highly recommend him!

More than a tour, We gained a Friend in Maldives! - Finding our tour guide, Ali, at the meeting point was very easy, which gave us a smooth and stress-free start to the day. We were joined by another family in this small group tour, which kept the experience intimate and enjoyable. Right from the beginning, Ali gave us a clear and friendly briefing about the tour plan and walking etiquette in the city, which made us feel comfortable and well prepared.
What really made this tour stand out was Ali’s ability to explain each landmark in a way that went beyond just history or facts. He connected every place to the local community and culture, giving us a deeper understanding of life in Malé and the Maldives. From the bustling markets to the historic sites, he shared stories that made each stop come alive. He even told us about how he spent his childhood on a small island, which was truly fascinating and gave us a more personal glimpse into local life.
Another highlight was how Ali engaged with everyone in the group. He made sure no one felt left out, whether it was answering questions, sharing insights, or simply making friendly conversation. His enthusiasm, kindness, and genuine passion for what he does were clear throughout the tour.
