Highlight of our trip to Mainz! - This was hands down the highlight of our visit to Mainz. Jerome was an incredible tour guide who was personable, professional and so knowledgeable about the history of Mainz, the wines we were tasting and the wine making process. Going down into the cellars was such a magical experience and it was really great to taste the variety of wines from the region. Jerome helped us to understand how the wines were produced and encouraged us to expand our palates. He taught us that three sips was the magical number to determine the true taste of the wine and it was a tip we will continue to use forever as it definitely made a difference. There was not a wine we tasted that we did not like. When initially booking the trip, we were worried we would not understand since we speak English, but Jerome had impeccable English and that was something we never should have worried about. Overall, it was such a fabulous experience and something we will remember forever. We wish Jerome and BottleStops was in all wine regions of the world!

Great way to spend an evening. - We had a great experience at this tasting. Jerome is very knowledgable and passionate about local wines and presented them in an enjoyable and informative manner. The wines were good, we learned a lot, and we have some searching to do in the US to find some of these wines.

A really enjoyable and informative evening - Jerome was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Plus his English is impeccable !
He was able to pitch his information at just the right level for our group. The meeting point was very picturesque and going down 4 floors (by lift) into the wine tasting cellar, within the deep rock, was a unique experience . We got a great over view of the Rheinhessen area and the distinct areas and methods of production.
We sampled some great wines and will follow up on what I learnt.
We would be happy to go on other events with Jerome and would definitely recommend him.

Great German wine-tasting - Jerome was excellent, very knowledgeable and eager to share it. Don’t be put off by the link up spot, there is a point to it. We went at night and my wife was mildly concerned. Jerome showed up to meet us and did an excellent job! Would highly recommend
