- Gris Gris Beach - Unlike most of Mauritius, which is encircled by coral reefs creating the island’s famous tranquil lagoon, the southern part of the island features a break in the reef. At Gris Gris, you can marvel at the dramatic scenery of large, powerful waves crashing against the magnificent cliffs.
