• Changunarayan - Changunarayan is an ancient site located in the Kathmandu Valley and is one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It tends to attract fewer visitors due to its relatively remote position north of Bhaktapur. However, the Nagarkot Community Homestay provides a convenient option, being just a short downhill walk from Changunarayan. The journey starts at Bastola Gaun and takes you through scenic farmlands to Changunarayan. During the hike, the guide will share fascinating stories about the history and culture of this predominantly Newar town. In addition to the historic temples at Changunarayan, some of which have inscriptions dating back to 464 B.C.E., visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the entire Kathmandu Valley and the city.
