Rustic Peaceful Paradise - This is an authentic, natural, and isolated slice of heaven. It’s off the beaten path and feels like it is in the middle of nowhere- but beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing! Teresa was a wonderful hostess- she provided us with great drinks, amazing appetizers of guacamole, pico de gallo, and ceviche, along with a delicious lunch. If you are somewhat adventurous and looking for something quiet and quaint this is the place!

It is about 25 minutes... - It is about 25 minutes from port, but it was well worth the privacy. Recommend water shoes. We enjoyed the drinks and kayaks the most.

Low-key private paradise - For first-timers on this excursion, the walk from the cruise port seems to take forever, but once you get to the meeting point, it's smooth sailing! The drive is about 20 mins and Mexico bumpy, but in a vehicle with AC. Trust the process and, before you know it, you'll be on a private beach with wonderful personal attention! This was our third booking and Theresa spoiled us, as always! Yes, there was seaweed, but that's common along the Mexico shore right now. It was calm enough for kayaks, but we preferred to lounge in the sun, search for shells, and enjoy good company. AWESOME homemade margaritas, ceviche, guacamole, and beef and pastor tacos! Tequila shots, too! Theresa is a lovely host and easy to converse with. Clean bathrooms and an outside shower to rinse off in case you get sandy.

We had a great time at... - We had a great time at this little resort! Getting out of the port is confusing, but most workers will direct you where to go. It’s very secluded (took a taxi 30 mins through the jungle), which was nerve wracking at first but ended up being nice after being on the cruise ship. Drinks and food included - ceviche was amazing! Water still had a lot of seaweed, but there was a little area for us to wade in. They had kayaks for us to take out and look at the reefs, which was cool.

An idyllic day, even with some seaweed! - Just got back on the ship from Costa Maya, Mexico where we spent the afternoon on this private beach being doted on. Homemade guacamole, mango picked fresh today, coconut water made fresh from a just-picked coconut, delicious ceviche, and amazing pork and beef tacos. Oh, and all the booze and fresh juices we could drink.
Due to time constraints (we chose not to snorkel or kayak but those activities were available. We just wanted to lay on the beach, watch the pelicans dive-bomb the little fishies, wade in the water and listen to the ocean sounds.
We understand that some people don’t like to go to the beaches during the summer months because of the seaweed but it wasn’t that bad and the water was clear once you got a couple feet out. So we ventured out and just showered off after.
Because of the seaweed (we assume) there were only five people in a space set up for up to 30. Not complaining, of course, but we hope they stay in business—this excursion was a great value, even after tipping the hosts and the cab driver. Don’t be put off by any negative reviews. This is the real deal and it is awesome!

Don’t get discouraged by the long drive, book the tour! Worth the drive. - Don’t get discouraged by the long drive, it’s worth it. Keep in kind this is a private eco tourism beach, the drive is 35 minutes and the road looks empty but in well maintained. When you arrive everything looks abandoned but it’s not. Food is delicious, tequila amazing and the service even better!

The best stop of our cruise! - First and foremost, DO NOT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SEAWEED!!! It is a common thing all over Costa Maya. If you want go swim/snorkel at this location, simply walk the 6 feet through it. It is no big deal! From there you’ll enjoy beautiful water and pretty decent snorkeling. Basically this property is amazing for two simple things….1. The TOP NOTCH service by Teresa and her staff, and 2. The relaxation you get from the panoramic views and ocean breeze you get from your seaside table and chairs. I wish we could have brought home the delicious guacamole, ceviche, fresh made tortilla chips, and tacos that we were served. It was the BEST food of our trip! The drinks were also so good and just kept coming and coming. Another good thing was that the bathrooms were well-maintained and clean. I also can’t forget to mention Carmella and Tiga, the sweetest/friendliest beach dogs who kept us company while we were there. Is this property a significant distance from the port? Yes, but the private transportation (taxi) we had was awesome (shout out to Aguilar Pech for being the best driver who was willing to take us to local artisans (not port stores) to make a few purchases before heading back to the ship). We did not want our day to end! We will DEFINITELY be back to see Teresa when we return to Costa Maya next year!

Beautiful set up - This is a great experience. The service it top notch, the food is amazing and my drink was never empty. I can see where this could be an absolutely phenomenal experience - however we unfortunately experienced the nasty seaweed that was washed up on shore and by the end of the day it filled up the water near the shore going out about 30 feet. I don’t want to discount this experience because it is very well set up and honestly I could see where it could be a gorgeous white beach - so the pictures don’t lie. The seaweed is out of her control - but rating the experience overall it can’t be ignored. There are a lot of places to relax, nice shade and two very friendly beach dogs that made us feel welcome. The hostess is a great hostess with food and drinks. The bathrooms are clean. There is a reef that makes the area perfect for kayaking and snorkeling. We took the kayaks out which was fun. It is very shallow. I didn’t snorkel. They only had the one piece masks with snorkels that I find hard to use. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but couldn’t help being a little disappointed by the shoreline covered by the seaweed (smells horrible and covered with bugs). Would love to have an opportunity to come back at a different time of year.

No attractive beach - Excellent food, drink, and service! However, the beach access to the ocean was blocked by mounds of brown seaweed infested with insects. This barrier was a turn-off from swimming. If you want to build sand castles and play in the ocean, this is not for you. If you want to relax without distractions, this is it.
Additionally, it was way outside the port gate, so there's a bit of a walk to get your private transportation.
