Nice tour - We were a family of five and the tour booked as a group tour became a private tour as we were just the 5 of us that day for the tour. Jhoana our guide was really nice and it was a pleasure to speak with here about Mexico. The driver was really a good driver too. He drove very carefully. For the Ruins we were almost the first to be there that day so it was uncrowded. Unfortunately we had heavy rain in Bacalar so it was not as good as It could have been under the sun (I'v been there already a few years ago on a sunny day and it was amazing) but that's nature, no right to complain. But the boat tour was shorter than expected because of the rain. We had a lunch in a typical local restaurant. The food was good but maybe not enough, specially for our boys (22,21 and 16 years old).Overall it was a good day, and Jhoana was a great guide. Even if the price is normal regarding others tour operators, I think it's quite expensive for what it is. That's my only complaint. But it will be a good day to remember.

A great excursion! - Jhoana was an amazing guide, and we had a wonderful time! We stopped to get fresh pineapple from a roadside vendor. It was so delicious (no pineapple will ever compare again). We ate it while at Balcalar. Stopped at the Mayan ruins first. Jhoana was so knowledgeable and helpful about the area and the Mayan customs and rituals. Bring bug spray and sunscreen. Balcalar was simply beautiful! So much fun on the boat. Highly recommend.

Private tour cruise excursion - Jhoana our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. She was our guide for my families private cruise excursion off Harmony of the Seas. I recommend this tour for your family too.

Great Tour - Everything went as planned. Short walk from cruise ship to meeting place. Van was waiting for us. Tour guide was great. 45 min ride to the ruins. We got there early. Beat the crowd. Literally the only group. As we left 8-10 busses were just getting there. At Bacalar the boat was waiting for us. Made a few stops to swim and have snacks. Got back on time. Took us all the way to the gates close to the cruise ship. I would recommend.

Awesome excursion in Costa Maya! - We came off the cruise ship and Jhoana, our tour guide, was waiting for us. She was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the Mayan history, well prepared and pleasant to listen to. Chaachoben was a very interesting place with lots of different ruins of Mayan temples. The Bacalar lagoon was beautiful with all its different colors. Jhoana fed us a delicious lunch on the boat. We will definitely choose her again for another adventure in Costa Maya. Highly recommendable!!

Great trip from the cruise - Lovely trip made even better by the fabulous Johana. Her tales of her life and family as well as great information about the ruins and Bacalar lagoon made for a wonderful day out from our cruise. Lovely taco lunch on the boat at the lagoon…shrimp were delicious and the mango and guacamole amazing! Only a small group…seven of us which was a bonus compared to the big cruise organised trips 😊 Would highly recommend especially with the lovely Johana and her smile 😃

Amazing!! - The excursion combo was perfect! The trip from the port to the ruins was very scenic with cool A/C. Jhoana was the best tour guide ever! She explained a lot of history and was very funny and entertaining. I will definitely want to do this tour again someday. And hopefully Jhoana can tour us again.

Our guide Ivan was... - Our guide Ivan was fantastic. I lowered the rating because it was very difficult to find the tour and the price seems excessive. The meeting point was a store, but the owner of the store had no idea that the tour was meeting there. After many calls to Viator and by the store owner to friends on the island, we found the tour operator. We then waited in a van for 45 minutes for people from another ship to appear. As we began to worry about making it back to our ship on time, they directed us to a private tour with Ivan. Once with Ivan, we had a great time! The ruins were fascinating and we even saw monkeys in the trees. Lunch on the boat was tasty and very nice.

Different than last year - We loved this experience so much last year we brought our parents and daughter this time however was a different experience. Our tour guide was nice and informative but was different than the previous year. When meeting outside the cruise port unlike last year we had to stand outside in the heat to wait for others. Looking forward for the tacos those were also different than last year..3 tiny grilled shrimp in a taco with no sauce did not hit the spot and no fruit or horchata was provided. Also being told by the captain to not use suncreen was upsetting. Even though we were not in the ocean I had chemical free reef safe suncreen..we could see others in the different boats applying sunscreen..The boat was crowded and drinks were hot. They had beer and soda. I would recommend maybe getting hard seltzers for the ladies. Sorry to say last years experience was better.
