Great bike tour! - My tour guide, Sakthivel, was excellent. We cycled from the town to a village and back, stopping at lots of places. It was fascinating and he shared many personal stories (including stories of when the tsunami hit in 2004 and he was next to the beach!). I even sat with his friends at a cocunut stand, chatting in the shade and drinking coconut juice. A truly authentic and special experience.

An excellent way to visit a village... - Although the bicycle trip was not like described (no water, no bike helmet, no pickup at our hotel...we took a cab to The Grand Bay Resort etc.) it was still a great way to visit a local village and our guide's English was good. The ride was easy (I am seventy) and the bikes were more than adequate but I was glad I took my own water! Definitely worth the money. We didn't tip because of the added expense of transportation to The Grand Bay and other parts of the trip that were missing. I am sorry about not tipping. In retrospect, the experience was a delight and small money can make a difference. Our guide did give us a ride back to our resort.
